Lysekloster 3-3 Treaff — Lysekloster and Treaff played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the Norwegian 2.Divisjon on 18 October 2026, sharing six goals in a match that swung repeatedly and kept both sets of supporters engaged until the final whistle. In a game short on defensive control but rich in attacking intent, neither side was able to hold a decisive advantage.

Match overview

The contest was open from the early stages, with both teams looking to press forward and attack through the middle. Lysekloster enjoyed spells of possession and created chances through quick combinations, while Treaff responded with direct running and sharp movement in the final third. The scoreline reflected the balance of play: Lysekloster had enough to lead at times, but Treaff’s resilience kept bringing them back into the game.

For neutral observers, it was an entertaining advertisement for Norwegian 2.Divisjon football. For the coaches, however, the number of goals conceded will have been a concern. Both back lines struggled to deal with transitions, and each side found space too easily when the game opened up in the second half.

Key moments

• Lysekloster started brightly and asked early questions with crosses into the Treaff penalty area.
• Treaff responded with a well-worked equalising spell, taking advantage of space left behind the home midfield.
• The second half produced the most chaotic period, with goals arriving in quick succession as both teams committed bodies forward.
• Late in the game, each side had chances to win it, but the finishing lacked the composure that had defined the earlier goals.

Tactical story

Lysekloster’s game plan centred on controlling the ball and using the width of the pitch, but their eagerness to push full-backs forward left them exposed to Treaff’s counters. Treaff, meanwhile, were happy to attack quickly and often, targeting the spaces between Lysekloster’s centre-backs and full-backs. That approach produced a steady stream of chances and made the match feel like a cup tie rather than a league fixture.

The midfield battle was particularly important. Neither side managed to establish a sustained grip on the centre of the pitch, which allowed the game to become stretched. Lysekloster’s attacking players combined well in short bursts, but Treaff’s energy and willingness to run in behind kept the home defence uncomfortable throughout.

Season impact

The draw gives both teams a point to build on, but it will feel like two dropped for each side given the chances on offer. Lysekloster will focus on tightening their defensive shape, while Treaff can take encouragement from their attacking output and fighting spirit. In a tightly contested Norwegian 2.Divisjon campaign, such away performances can prove valuable, even when the win slips away.
