IF Floya delivered one of their most convincing home performances of the Norwegian 3. Divisjon season, brushing aside Tromso B 3-0 on 18 October 2026. A dominant first-half display set the platform, and a disciplined second half ensured the hosts collected all three points without conceding a goal.

Full-time score: IF Floya 3-0 Tromso B

Match overview

Floya started brightly and needed only a short spell of pressure to take the lead. Their pressing forced Tromso B into hurried clearances, and the home side repeatedly recovered the ball in advanced areas. The second goal arrived before half-time, giving Floya a cushion that allowed them to play with greater freedom after the break. Tromso B tried to respond, but they struggled to sustain possession and were often pinned back by Floya’s energetic midfield.

After the restart, Floya managed the game intelligently. They did not chase unnecessary goals, instead keeping their shape and waiting for openings. The third goal effectively ended the contest, and from there the hosts focused on protecting their clean sheet. Tromso B kept pushing late on, but Floya’s defensive organisation held firm.

Key moments

• Early pressure pays off: Floya’s high press created the opening goal inside the first 15 minutes and immediately put Tromso B on the back foot.
• Two-goal cushion: A well-worked move doubled the lead before half-time, giving the hosts control of the match.
• Third goal after the break: Floya added another early in the second half, ending any realistic hope of a Tromso B comeback.
• Clean sheet secured: The home defence dealt with late crosses and set pieces to finish with a shutout.

Tactical story

Floya’s victory was built on aggressive pressing and quick ball circulation. Their midfield won the majority of second balls, allowing the team to sustain attacks and prevent Tromso B from building rhythm. The hosts also used the flanks effectively, stretching the visitors’ back line and creating space for runners into the box. Tromso B, by contrast, found it difficult to play through the middle and were often reduced to long passes that Floya’s defenders comfortably defended.

The second-half management was just as impressive as the attacking display. With a comfortable lead, Floya dropped their line slightly, protected the central areas and forced Tromso B into wide deliveries. The clean sheet was a deserved reward for a complete team performance.

Standout performers

Floya’s midfield trio dictated the tempo and provided the energy behind the press. The forwards were sharp in the final third, and the wide players consistently beat their markers in one-on-one situations. At the back, the centre-backs handled Tromso B’s aerial threat well and kept the defensive line organised. Tromso B’s goalkeeper made a number of saves to prevent the margin from growing, while their young midfielders showed flashes of promise despite the difficult afternoon.

What the result means

The win gives IF Floya a valuable boost in the Norwegian 3. Divisjon table and underlines their strength at home. Three goals and a clean sheet will do wonders for confidence as the season moves deeper into its decisive phase. For Tromso B, the defeat highlights the challenge of competing against experienced, physically strong opponents, but the experience will be useful for the development of their younger players.
