Fram Larvik and Sandefjord B played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw in the Norwegian 3.Divisjon on Saturday, October 3, 2026. On a night when both teams had spells of control, the points were ultimately shared after Fram Larvik responded to an early second-half deficit with a determined equaliser.

Match Overview

Fram Larvik began the match with plenty of possession, looking to use their home advantage and dictate tempo in midfield. Sandefjord B, however, were well organised and dangerous on the counter. The visitors sat in a compact shape, invited pressure, and looked to spring forward quickly when turnovers occurred.

That approach paid off when Sandefjord B took the lead, silencing the home support for a period. Fram Larvik continued to probe, but their final pass was often just off target. As the game wore on, the home side increased the urgency, pushed more players forward, and finally found the breakthrough that levelled the score.

Key Moments

• 34th minute: Elias Nystrøm gave Sandefjord B the lead with a calm finish after a quick counter-attack.
• 45th minute: Fram Larvik nearly equalised before half-time, but a header clipped the top of the crossbar.
• 58th minute: Sandefjord B goalkeeper produced a strong save to deny a close-range effort.
• 78th minute: Mathias Røed finally levelled for Fram Larvik, finishing from inside the box after sustained pressure.
• 90th minute: Both sides had late half-chances, but neither could find a winner.

Tactical Story

Fram Larvik set up with a patient build-up, using their midfield to circulate the ball and draw Sandefjord B out of position. The away side defended deep and narrow, forcing Fram into wide areas and then crowding the penalty box. Sandefjord B’s transitions were sharp, and their goal came from exactly that kind of direct, vertical move.

In the second half, Fram Larvik adjusted by pushing their full-backs higher and introducing fresh legs in attack. That change gave them more crossing opportunities and second balls around the box. Sandefjord B still carried a threat on the break, but as the game became stretched, Fram’s pressure became harder to resist.

Standout Players

Mathias Røed was Fram Larvik’s most influential attacker, not only for his equalising goal but also for his movement between the lines. Elias Nystrøm was Sandefjord B’s brightest performer, taking his goal well and leading several dangerous counters. Both goalkeepers made important saves, while the midfield battle was intense throughout.

What the Result Means

The draw leaves Fram Larvik with mixed feelings. A point keeps them competitive in the Norwegian 3.Divisjon table, but dropping two points at home in a match they largely controlled for long spells may feel like an opportunity missed. Sandefjord B, by contrast, will view the away draw as a solid result and further evidence that their young squad can compete physically and tactically in the division.

With the season entering its decisive phase, Fram Larvik will need to convert possession into more goals. Sandefjord B will take confidence from their resilience and counter-attacking display as they continue their development campaign.
