Eidsvold Turn delivered a powerful statement in the Norwegian 2. Divisjon on 24 October 2026, beating Honefoss BK 4-1 at home in a match that showcased their attacking depth and clinical finishing.

The hosts were sharper in both boxes from the opening whistle and rarely allowed Honefoss BK to build sustained possession. Eidsvold Turn’s movement in the final third caused problems throughout, and the scoreline was a fair reflection of their control. Honefoss had moments of promise, particularly during a short spell before half-time, but they were ultimately undone by defensive errors and Eidsvold’s ruthless transitions.

Match Overview

Eidsvold Turn started with purpose, pressing high and forcing Honefoss into early mistakes. The first goal arrived inside the opening ten minutes, and the home side doubled their advantage before the half-hour mark. Honefoss pulled one back with a well-worked move just before the interval, giving themselves brief hope, but Eidsvold restored control after the break and added two more goals to close out a convincing win.

Key Moments

• 9th minute: Eidsvold Turn opened the scoring after a high press forced a turnover in the final third.
• 26th minute: A quick counter-attack doubled the lead, with a low finish into the far corner.
• 41st minute: Honefoss BK pulled one back through a composed finish after a rare spell of pressure.
• 63rd minute: Eidsvold restored their two-goal cushion with a header from a corner.
• 85th minute: The fourth goal arrived on the break, sealing the three points.

Tactical Story

The match was decided by Eidsvold’s midfield energy. Their central trio pressed as a unit, cutting off passing lanes into Honefoss’s attacking players and forcing long balls that were comfortably dealt with. When Eidsvold won the ball back, they attacked with purpose, often using the space behind the full-backs. Honefoss improved after their goal but never managed to sustain pressure. A second-half switch to a more direct approach played into Eidsvold’s hands, as the home defence held firm and the forwards exploited the extra space.

Standout Performers

Eidsvold Turn forward Kristian Berg was the obvious attacking threat, scoring twice and constantly dragging defenders out of position. Midfielder Markus Aas controlled the tempo and won several important second balls, while the right-back provided a steady stream of crosses. Honefoss BK’s goalkeeper made a handful of saves to keep the score respectable, but the visitors’ best outfield player was their captain, who tried to drive the team forward from midfield. In the end, Eidsvold’s collective intensity outweighed Honefoss’s individual efforts.

Season Impact

The win keeps Eidsvold Turn firmly in the promotion conversation and reinforces their reputation as one of the division’s more dangerous home sides. Four goals against a direct rival is a significant confidence boost, particularly as the season enters its decisive phase. Honefoss BK, meanwhile, will need to address their away form and defensive organisation. The result leaves them with work to do if they are to close the gap on the teams above them.
