Elverum produced a composed and clinical away performance to beat Drobak-Frogn IL 3-1 in Norwegian 3.Divisjon on 17 October 2026, with Markus Berg scoring twice in a deserved victory.

The match began at 20:00 local time and saw Drobak-Frogn IL enjoy plenty of possession, but Elverum’s organisation and efficiency in front of goal proved decisive. The visitors defended well, took their chances when they arrived, and managed the game maturely after taking control in the first half.

Match overview

Elverum took the lead in the 17th minute when Markus Berg found space at the edge of the box and produced a low finish beyond the goalkeeper. The goal came slightly against the run of play, but it highlighted Elverum’s ability to punish mistakes.

Drobak-Frogn IL looked to respond immediately and pushed more players forward, but that openness played into Elverum’s hands. In the 34th minute, Kristoffer Holt doubled the visitors’ lead after a quick break down the left. The home side’s frustration grew as their final ball repeatedly let them down.

Drobak-Frogn IL did give themselves hope in the 61st minute when Sindre Aas pulled one back with a determined finish inside the area. For a short spell, the home crowd sensed a comeback. But Elverum weathered the pressure and sealed the win in the 79th minute when Berg scored his second goal of the night.

Key moments

• 17th minute: Markus Berg gives Elverum a 1-0 lead with a precise finish.
• 34th minute: Kristoffer Holt doubles the advantage after a swift counter-attack.
• 61st minute: Sindre Aas pulls one back for Drobak-Frogn IL at 2-1.
• 79th minute: Markus Berg restores Elverum’s two-goal cushion and seals the win.

Tactical story

Drobak-Frogn IL saw more of the ball, especially in the second half, but they struggled to break down a well-drilled Elverum defence. The home side’s possession often came in front of Elverum’s midfield block rather than behind it, which made it difficult to create clear-cut chances.

Elverum, by contrast, were content to defend in a compact shape and attack through quick transitions. Their willingness to play direct when the opportunity arose allowed them to exploit the space Drobak-Frogn IL left behind while chasing the game.

Standout performers

Markus Berg was the match-winner for Elverum, showing composure in front of goal and intelligent movement throughout. Kristoffer Holt’s energy and direct running also caused problems, while Elverum’s goalkeeper produced a couple of important saves when the score was still 2-1.

Sindre Aas was Drobak-Frogn IL’s brightest performer. His goal gave the home side brief hope, and he continued to work hard even as the game slipped away.

Season impact

For Elverum, this was exactly the kind of away performance that builds momentum: disciplined, efficient, and built on taking key chances at important moments. The three points will strengthen their position in the 3.Divisjon table.

Drobak-Frogn IL will be disappointed with the result but can take some encouragement from their possession and spells of pressure. Turning that territory into goals will be the main focus for their next fixture.
