Bærum SK 2-1 Ullern FC — Norwegian 3. Divisjon match report

Bærum SK claimed a narrow 2-1 victory over Ullern FC in the Norwegian 3. Divisjon on 17 October 2026, with a late goal settling an evenly contested Oslo-area meeting. The result gives Bærum an important three points in the promotion race and leaves Ullern frustrated after a performance that deserved more from the game.

Match overview

The first half was tight and tactical, with both teams cautious about committing too many players forward. Bærum gradually gained the upper hand through their midfield pressing and took the lead before the interval with a well-worked goal. Ullern responded positively after the break, equalising with a set-piece header that brought the contest back to life.

With the match seemingly heading for a draw, Bærum found a late winner. A quick attack down the left created space in the penalty area, and the finish was calm enough to beat the Ullern goalkeeper. The visitors pushed for a second equaliser in the closing minutes, but Bærum defended their box well and held on for a valuable win.

Key moments

• 29th minute: Bærum SK took the lead after a neat exchange on the edge of the box ended with a low finish into the corner.
• 62nd minute: Ullern FC equalised from a corner, with their centre-back heading powerfully past the goalkeeper.
• 84th minute: Bærum scored the winner, finishing a fast break with a composed strike from inside the area.

Tactical story

Bærum’s midfield energy set the tone. They pressed Ullern’s ball-carriers effectively and forced several turnovers in promising areas. Their full-backs were also willing to join attacks, which helped create the width needed to break down a well-organised Ullern defence. Ullern, for their part, looked dangerous from set pieces and were compact in open play for long stretches.

The decisive moment came from Bærum’s willingness to attack late rather than settle for a point. Ullern had committed players forward in search of a winner of their own, and Bærum punished the space left behind. It was a fine example of game management from the home side, who recognised the moment to strike.

Standout performers

Bærum’s No. 10 was influential throughout, linking midfield and attack and setting up the opening goal. The match-winner also deserves credit for a mature finish under pressure. Ullern’s centre-back was their standout performer, scoring the equaliser and making several important defensive interventions before the late concession.

Season impact

The win gives Bærum SK a timely boost in the Norwegian 3. Divisjon standings and keeps them moving in the right direction. For Ullern FC, the defeat is a narrow one, but it shows how small margins can decide matches in a competitive league. Both teams will take lessons from a game that was decided by a single late moment.
