Austevoll 3-2 Forde — Norwegian 3. Divisjon — Saturday, 10 October 2026, 20:30 local time.

Austevoll Edge Forde in Five-Goal Thriller

Austevoll secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Forde in the Norwegian 3. Divisjon, turning a tight and tactical contest into a five-goal spectacle on a cool October evening. The home side twice surrendered a lead before finding a late winner, and the three points could prove significant in a division where every result shapes the promotion and relegation picture.

Played at Austevoll’s home ground, the match was every bit the coastal battle expected between two teams familiar with wind, narrow pitches, and direct football. Forde arrived determined to frustrate their hosts, but Austevoll’s intensity in the final third ultimately made the difference.

Match Overview

The opening exchanges were played at a high tempo, with Austevoll pressing aggressively and Forde looking to spring quick counterattacks. Austevoll’s midfield kept the ball moving, while Forde’s back line absorbed pressure and waited for turnovers. The game developed into a contest of set pieces and second balls, and both goalkeepers were called into action before the break.

After an evenly balanced first half, the second period opened up dramatically. Forde refused to fold after falling behind, twice drawing level and forcing Austevoll to find another gear. In the end, the home side’s willingness to keep pushing players forward paid off with a late goal that sent the home support into celebration.

Key Moments

• 12th minute: Austevoll took the lead after a short corner was worked into the box, and a low finish beat the Forde goalkeeper at the near post.
• 28th minute: Forde responded with a well-taken equaliser, capitalising on a loose ball in midfield and converting from the edge of the area.
• 41st minute: Austevoll regained the advantage just before half-time, with a towering header from a deep free-kick.
• 67th minute: Forde levelled again, this time from a penalty after a foul inside the box. The away side’s captain converted confidently.
• 88th minute: Austevoll found the winner when a substitute latched onto a through ball and slotted past the advancing goalkeeper.

Tactical Story

Austevoll lined up in a 4-3-3 and looked to overwhelm Forde in wide areas, using overlapping full-backs to create crossing opportunities. Their midfield trio pressed high, forcing Forde into hurried clearances and limiting the away side’s time on the ball. Forde, meanwhile, set up in a compact 4-4-2 and tried to hit on the break, often targeting the space behind Austevoll’s advanced full-backs.

The decisive tactical battle was in the air and on set pieces. Austevoll won the majority of second balls and generated repeated chances from dead-ball situations. Forde’s resilience kept them in the game, but their defense struggled to cope with Austevoll’s late runs into the box, which ultimately produced the winning goal.

Standout Performers

Austevoll’s No. 9 was a constant menace, holding up play and bringing others into the match before capping his performance with a goal. The home captain controlled the tempo in midfield and delivered several dangerous set pieces. For Forde, the goalkeeper made a string of important saves to keep the scoreline close, while their left winger was the most creative outlet on the counter.

Season Impact in Norwegian 3. Divisjon

The win lifts Austevoll’s confidence and adds crucial points in what is always a fiercely competitive Norwegian 3. Divisjon campaign. For Forde, the defeat is a frustrating one, especially after twice fighting back to level terms, but the performance showed enough attacking quality to suggest they can climb the standings with better game management. Both sides will now turn their attention to the next round, where Austevoll will look to build momentum and Forde will seek an immediate response.
