ZFK Ljuboten Women delivered a clinical away performance to defeat ZFK Istatov Women 3-0 in the North Macedonia Women's League on September 25, 2026. The visitors were dominant from the first minute, scoring twice in the first half before adding a third after the break to secure all three points.

Match Overview

The 22:00 kickoff saw Ljuboten immediately take control of the midfield, pressing high and forcing Istatov into a series of early errors. The home side struggled to keep possession, and their defence was breached twice before the half-hour mark. Despite a brief rally after the interval, Istatov never looked like mounting a comeback.

Key Moments

• 14th minute: Elena Trajkovska opened the scoring with a precise low drive after cutting in from the left wing.
• 27th minute: Ana Stojanova doubled the lead, converting a penalty after a handball in the box.
• 61st minute: Trajkovska completed her brace, heading home a cross from the right to make it 3-0.
• 78th minute: Istatov's best chance fell to their captain, but her shot was well saved by the Ljuboten goalkeeper.

Standout Players

Elena Trajkovska was the standout performer, her two goals and constant movement causing problems all evening. Ana Stojanova controlled the midfield with composure, while Ljuboten's defence remained organised and disciplined, limiting Istatov to very few clear opportunities. For Istatov, only their goalkeeper emerged with credit after making several saves to keep the score respectable.

Tactical Story

Ljuboten set up in a flexible 4-3-3, with their wide forwards stretching the Istatov defence and creating space for the midfielders to advance. Their high press prevented the hosts from building from the back, and their quick transitions turned defence into attack in seconds. Istatov, playing a 4-4-2, were overrun in midfield and struggled to support their isolated strikers.

Table Impact

The victory strengthens ZFK Ljuboten Women's position near the top of the North Macedonia Women's League table, keeping them in contention for the title. ZFK Istatov Women remain mid-table, but this heavy home defeat will concern their coaching staff as they look to bounce back in the coming weeks. Ljuboten's impressive away form continues to underline their credentials as serious challengers.
