Match overview

The away side doubled their advantage in the 34th minute with a well-worked move down the left, and although AS Junajted Struga Women pulled one back shortly before the break, Tiverija restored control after halftime. Two further goals in the second half reflected their superiority and left the home side with no route back into the contest.

The match was played at a high tempo, with Junajted Struga attempting to press high and force errors. Tiverija, however, were comfortable playing through the lines and repeatedly found space behind the home defence. The scoreline underlined the visitors’ efficiency in front of goal and their ability to manage the game once in front.

Tactical story

Tiverija Women set up with a compact midfield and looked to release their wide players into space whenever Junajted Struga committed numbers forward. That approach worked perfectly: the home side’s high press left gaps in behind, and Tiverija’s quick passing exposed them time and again. Junajted Struga enjoyed spells of possession but struggled to break down a well-organised back line, and their goal came from individual persistence rather than sustained pressure.

After halftime, Tiverija managed the game maturely. They slowed the tempo when needed, won fouls in useful areas, and took their chances when they arrived. Junajted Struga pushed more players forward in search of a second goal, but that only increased the space available to the visitors, who added a fourth on the break to put the result beyond doubt.

Standout players

Tiverija’s attacking unit deserved enormous credit, with a brace from their central striker setting the tone. The midfielder dictating play from deep also impressed, consistently finding passes between the lines. For AS Junajted Struga Women, the goalscorer who pulled one back was their brightest spark, while the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat. The home side’s defenders worked hard but were overwhelmed by Tiverija’s movement and finishing.

League impact

The 4-1 win is a significant statement of intent for Tiverija Women in the North Macedonia Women's League. Three points on the road against a direct rival can shape the mood of a season, and the margin of victory will boost confidence in the squad. For AS Junajted Struga Women, the defeat highlights the need for greater defensive compactness and better protection when pressing high. Both teams will now prepare for their next league fixtures, with Tiverija looking to build momentum and Junajted Struga aiming to respond quickly.
