KF Arsimi 1-1 Sileks: Honours Even in North Macedonia First Football League

KF Arsimi and Sileks shared the points in a 1-1 draw in the North Macedonia First Football League on 10 October 2026. The match, played at the Arsimi Stadium, was a tale of two halves, with Sileks dominating early before KF Arsimi fought back to earn a deserved draw.

Match Overview

Sileks, one of the more established clubs in the league, started the stronger and took the lead inside the first 20 minutes with a well-placed shot from outside the box. KF Arsimi struggled to find rhythm but gradually grew into the game, equalizing just before half-time through a penalty after a foul on their winger. The second half was a more even contest, with both sides creating chances but failing to find a winner. A late red card for Sileks reduced them to ten men, but KF Arsimi could not capitalize on the numerical advantage.

Key Moments

• 17th minute: Sileks took the lead with a low drive from the edge of the area.
• 41st minute: KF Arsimi equalized from the penalty spot after a clear foul in the box.
• 63rd minute: KF Arsimi's striker missed a one-on-one chance to take the lead.
• 79th minute: Sileks were reduced to ten men after a second yellow card for a reckless challenge.
• 90+3rd minute: KF Arsimi's last-ditch free-kick was tipped over the bar.

Tactical Story

Sileks began with a high press, forcing KF Arsimi into early mistakes. Their 4-2-3-1 shape allowed them to control midfield, and they looked dangerous on the counter. However, as the game progressed, KF Arsimi adjusted, switching to a more direct approach and using their pace on the wings to stretch Sileks. The red card forced Sileks to retreat, but KF Arsimi lacked the guile to break down a resilient defensive block.

Standout Players

KF Arsimi's penalty-taker Ardit Vllasaliu was composed from the spot and was their main creative outlet. Goalkeeper Besart Iseni made a crucial save in the second half to deny Sileks a second goal. For Sileks, midfielder Darko Micevski was excellent until his dismissal, and their goalscorer Stefan Kocev showed good technique.

Season Impact

The draw leaves both teams in mid-table, with Sileks still harboring hopes of a European qualification spot but dropping valuable points in the race. KF Arsimi will be pleased with their resilience but frustrated not to have won against ten men. In a tightly contested league, every point matters, and both sides will feel this was a missed opportunity to gain ground on the teams above them.
