Match overview

Tikves welcomed Bashkimi to the Gradski Stadion in Kavadarci for a First Football League fixture that quickly turned in the home side’s favour. Although Bashkimi improved after the break and pulled a goal back, Tikves managed the game well and added a late third to seal the win.

The victory strengthens Tikves’ position in the league standings and gives them momentum heading into their next domestic fixture. For Bashkimi, the defeat highlights the need for greater composure in possession and stronger resistance during the opening phases of matches.

• 25th minute: The lead doubled when Aleksandar Mishov struck from the edge of the area after Bashkimi failed to clear a corner.
• 54th minute: Bashkimi halved the deficit through Bunjamin Shabani, whose low drive gave the home goalkeeper no chance.
• 71st minute: Tikves nearly restored their two-goal cushion, but a header from a free-kick clipped the top of the crossbar.
• 86th minute: Mirchevski scored his second of the night to make it 3-1 and end any hopes of a Bashkimi comeback.

Tactical story

Tikves were aggressive without the ball and compact in midfield, forcing Bashkimi into long passes and hurried clearances. Their wide players stretched the defence, creating space for Mirchevski and Mishov to attack the penalty area. The home side’s set-piece threat was also evident, with the second goal coming from a poorly cleared corner.

Bashkimi improved after half-time by pushing their midfield higher and committing more players forward. Shabani’s goal gave them hope, but the visitors left gaps at the back in search of an equaliser, and Tikves punished them late on. The home side’s game management in the final 15 minutes was composed and professional.

Standout players

Martin Mirchevski was the standout performer with two goals and constant movement in the attacking third. Aleksandar Mishov controlled the midfield tempo and capped his display with an important goal. For Bashkimi, Bunjamin Shabani was their brightest spark and scored a well-taken consolation.

League impact

The win gives Tikves a valuable three points in the North Macedonia First Football League and reinforces their credentials as a difficult team to beat at home. Bashkimi remain with work to do as they look to climb the table, but their second-half response offered some encouragement. Both sides will now prepare for their next league assignments, with Tikves aiming to build a run of form and Bashkimi focused on tightening up defensively.
