Zadar 3-0 NK Omis: Comfortable home win in Croatian Third Football League

Zadar produced a dominant 3-0 victory over NK Omis in the Croatian Third Football League on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The 22:30 kickoff saw the home side control the match from start to finish, scoring in each half and keeping a clean sheet. The three-goal margin reflected Zadar's superiority in midfield and their sharpness in the final third, while NK Omis struggled to contain the home side's movement.

Zadar set the tone early with high pressing and quick passing. They were rewarded with an opening goal inside the first twenty minutes and never really looked back. NK Omis attempted to respond with long balls and set pieces, but Zadar's defensive line held firm, and the home goalkeeper was rarely troubled.

Match overview

The match was one-sided in terms of chances. Zadar dominated possession, created problems down both flanks, and won the midfield battle convincingly. NK Omis defended in numbers but could not prevent the home side from finding gaps between the lines. By the time the second goal arrived, the visitors were already chasing the game.

In the second half, Zadar managed the game intelligently, slowing the tempo when needed and then attacking with purpose. The third goal capped a complete performance and gave the home supporters plenty to celebrate.

Tactical story

Zadar's 4-3-3 allowed them to overload the midfield and release their full-backs into advanced positions. The front three rotated constantly, making it difficult for NK Omis's defenders to mark them man-for-man. The opening goal came from a central overload, while the second and third highlighted Zadar's ability to attack wide areas and then finish inside the box.

NK Omis sat deep in a 4-5-1 but could not keep possession well enough to relieve pressure. Their few counterattacks lacked support, and when they did win the ball, Zadar's midfielders recovered quickly. The visitors' best spell came just before half-time, but they could not turn it into a goal.

Standout performers

Zadar's centre-forward was the focal point of the attack, scoring the opener and linking play effectively. The left winger provided a constant threat and delivered the cross for the second goal, while the central midfielder controlled the rhythm of the game. For NK Omis, the goalkeeper prevented a heavier defeat with several saves, and their captain worked tirelessly in midfield despite limited support.

Season impact

This 3-0 win is a statement result for Zadar in the Croatian Third Football League. It boosts their goal difference and reinforces their credentials in the promotion race. NK Omis, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly after a difficult away day. For Zadar, the challenge now is to carry this level of control and ruthlessness into their next fixtures, because consistent home victories are often the foundation of a successful campaign.
