NK Vodice produced a strong home performance to beat Slovam Lovenson 3-1 in the Croatian Third Football League on Saturday, 26 September 2026. Three goals and a dominant second-half display gave the home side a deserved victory in an entertaining, end-to-end contest.

Match overview

Vodice started brightly and took the lead inside the opening 20 minutes, capitalising on a defensive mistake and finishing confidently. Slovam Lovenson responded well, equalising before half-time with a neat move down the left and a low finish at the near post. The scoreline was level at the break, but Vodice had shown enough attacking intent to suggest more goals were coming.

The second half belonged to the hosts. Vodice regained the lead from a corner, with a powerful header beating the goalkeeper. They added a third goal later in the half after a quick counter-attack, and from that point managed the game professionally to see out the win.

Key moments

• Early opener: Vodice punished a defensive error to take a first-half lead.
• Slovam Lovenson equaliser: A well-worked move down the left ended with a composed finish.
• Second-half header: Vodice restored their advantage from a dangerous corner.
• Counter-attack clincher: A rapid break ended with a third goal to seal the points.

Tactical story

NK Vodice set up in an attacking 4-3-3, using their wingers to stretch the Slovam Lovenson defence and deliver early crosses. Their midfield pressed aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch, which led to several scoring opportunities. Slovam Lovenson had moments of quality on the break, but they struggled to cope with Vodice’s set-piece threat and the pace of the home side’s counter-attacks.

Standout players

Vodice’s striker was central to their attacking play, scoring one goal and contributing to another with intelligent movement. Their central midfielder controlled the tempo, while the left-back was excellent going forward. For Slovam Lovenson, the left winger was their most dangerous outlet, but the visitors lacked the defensive solidity to contain Vodice for the full 90 minutes.

Table impact

The 3-1 win strengthens NK Vodice’s position in the Croatian Third Football League and gives them momentum for the weeks ahead. Slovam Lovenson will be disappointed with the scoreline, but they showed enough going forward to suggest they can pick up results if they tighten up defensively.
