NK HV Posedarje and NK GOSK Dubrovnik Play Out Goalless Draw

NK HV Posedarje and NK GOSK Dubrovnik shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw in the Croatian Third Football League on October 2, 2026. The match, played at Posedarje's home ground, was a hard-fought tactical battle that produced few clear chances.

Both sides came into the game needing points to improve their league positions, but a combination of resolute defending and wayward finishing ensured the scoreline remained blank.

Match Overview

The first half was evenly contested, with Posedarje enjoying slightly more possession but failing to test the Dubrovnik goalkeeper. Dubrovnik looked dangerous on the break, forcing two smart saves from the home keeper. The best chance of the half fell to Posedarje's striker, who headed wide from six yards.

After the interval, the game became more stretched. Posedarje pushed more men forward, but Dubrovnik's defense held firm. The visitors nearly snatched a winner in the 82nd minute when a shot cannoned off the post. In the end, a draw was a fair reflection of a tight contest.

Key Moments

• 31' – Posedarje's best chance, a free header goes wide.
• 54' – Dubrovnik's goalkeeper makes a fingertip save to deny a curling effort.
• 82' – Dubrovnik hit the post from a quick counterattack.
• 90' – Posedarje win a late corner but cannot convert.

Tactical Story

Posedarje lined up in a 4-4-2, aiming to use their wingers to stretch the play. Dubrovnik responded with a compact 4-5-1, content to soak up pressure and hit on the break. The midfield battle was intense, with little space afforded to either side's playmakers.

Standout Players

Both goalkeepers deserve credit for the clean sheets; Posedarje's No. 1 made three important saves, while his counterpart in the Dubrovnik goal was equally impressive. Posedarje's central midfielder worked tirelessly, and Dubrovnik's lone striker held the ball up well under pressure.

Season Impact

The point leaves both teams still searching for consistency in the Croatian Third Football League. Posedarje remain unbeaten at home but will be frustrated by their lack of cutting edge. Dubrovnik will take heart from a solid away performance and a clean sheet. The race for promotion or survival continues.
