Tot Ons Genoegen Berkel and RBC Roosendaal served up one of the games of the season in the Netherlands Derde Divisie, with the hosts winning an extraordinary seven-goal thriller 4-3. The match swung repeatedly, delivered drama until the final whistle, and left supporters at the TOGB ground with a night to remember.

Match Overview

Kicking off at 21:30, the contest was never going to be a cautious affair given the attacking intentions of both sides — but few could have predicted the sheer volume of goals. TOGB started brightly and took the lead, only for RBC Roosendaal to respond, and from there the game developed into a breathless exchange of attacks.

RBC Roosendaal, one of the most recognisable names in Dutch amateur and semi-professional football, brought a strong travelling contingent and plenty of attacking ambition. TOGB, playing at home, matched them blow for blow, and the momentum shifted with almost every goal. Seven goals, a one-goal margin and a frantic finish made this a showcase for everything the Derde Divisie has to offer.

Key Moments

• TOGB's fast start: The hosts set the tone with an early goal, exploiting space behind the RBC defence and setting up an open, end-to-end contest.
• RBC Roosendaal fight back: Showing the character expected of a club with their history, RBC responded and dragged themselves back into the match more than once.
• The swing in momentum: With goals arriving in both halves, the lead changed hands and the game repeatedly looked destined to end level.
• The decisive fourth: TOGB's winning goal proved just enough, as the hosts then survived a tense closing period in which RBC threw everything forward in search of an equaliser.

Tactical Story

This was a match in which both sides prioritised attacking width and quick transitions over defensive solidity — and the entertainment value came as a direct result. TOGB's best work came when they moved the ball quickly through midfield and attacked the channels, while RBC Roosendaal consistently found joy with crosses into the box and second-phase play from set pieces.

The difference, ultimately, was finishing and fortune in equal measure. In a seven-goal game, small details decide everything: a goalkeeper's save here, a defensive clearance there. TOGB's ability to score four times at home, and to keep their composure when the game threatened to slip away, reflects the growing maturity of their squad.

Season Impact

A 4-3 home victory carries the dual benefit of three points and a significant psychological lift. High-scoring wins build confidence across the squad, particularly for the forwards involved, and reinforce a team's identity as an attacking force in the Derde Divisie. For RBC Roosendaal, scoring three goals away from home is a positive, but conceding four will frustrate a coaching staff focused on structure. The margin between the two sides on the night was as narrow as it could be — and both will head into their next fixtures with lessons to apply.
