Match overview

• Competition: Netherlands Derde Divisie
• Fixture: Hollandia vs Schlepender
• Date: 25 October 2026
• Final score: Hollandia 2-2 Schlepender

Key moments

Hollandia opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a flowing move. A diagonal pass found the wide attacker, and the cut-back was converted with a first-time finish from around the penalty spot. The home side looked sharp in possession and created further chances before the half-hour mark.

Schlepender equalised in the 38th minute after their first sustained spell of pressure. A cross from the left was not fully cleared, and the loose ball was swept home to make it 1-1. That goal gave the visitors confidence, and they started the second half with more aggression.

Schlepender took the lead in the 62nd minute through a well-timed counter-attack. Hollandia had committed men forward, and the visitors broke quickly before finishing calmly past the goalkeeper. The home side pushed hard for an equaliser in the final 20 minutes, and their persistence paid off in the 87th minute when a cross from the right was headed home at the back post.

Tactical story

Hollandia dominated possession for large stretches and tried to play through midfield with short, sharp passing. Their width was a major asset, especially in the first half, but they left themselves exposed to counter-attacks when moves broke down. That vulnerability was punished twice by Schlepender, whose direct running and quick transitions caused problems throughout.

Schlepender defended deeper after taking the lead and looked to hit on the break. It was a sensible approach, and for much of the second half it appeared likely to deliver all three points. Hollandia’s late adjustment, pushing an extra body into the box and increasing the tempo of their crossing, eventually produced the equaliser. The home team’s willingness to keep going was rewarded, even if their defensive balance remained a concern.

Standout performers and season impact

Hollandia’s wide players were their most dangerous outlets, combining pace with good delivery. The substitute who helped change the tempo in the final 20 minutes also made a real impact, and the late goalscorer showed excellent positioning at the back post. For Schlepender, the forward line worked tirelessly and the midfielder who sparked several counters was central to their best moments.

In the Derde Divisie, draws like this can feel like both a point gained and two dropped. Hollandia will be pleased with their resilience but disappointed with the defensive lapses that allowed Schlepender to take control. Schlepender, meanwhile, will regret not seeing the game out after leading late. The 2-2 result adds another competitive chapter to the league and leaves both sides with clear lessons to take into their next fixtures.
