Nyasa Big Bullets Women maintained their strong form in the MPRE LW with a hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Ntopwa FC Women. The only goal of the game settled a competitive encounter and kept the visitors on track in the title race.

Match Overview

Played on 25 October 2026, the match pitted Nyasa Big Bullets Women’s possession-based approach against Ntopwa FC Women’s resilience and counter-attacking threat. Bullets controlled large spells of the ball, but Ntopwa stayed organized and made life difficult. The decisive moment came before the interval, and from there the visitors managed the game with experience.

Ntopwa did not sit back entirely. They pressed in short bursts and looked to break quickly through the flanks. However, clear chances were scarce against a Bullets defence that remained compact and alert throughout.

Key Moments

• Early control: Nyasa Big Bullets Women dictated the tempo and forced Ntopwa into deep defensive positions.
• The opening goal: A well-timed run from midfield created space, and a precise finish gave Bullets the lead.
• Ntopwa’s response: The hosts pushed forward after the break and forced a few set-pieces, but the final ball was lacking.
• Game management: Bullets slowed the tempo in the closing stages and protected their narrow advantage.

Tactical Story

Nyasa Big Bullets Women used wide overloads to stretch Ntopwa’s defensive block. Their midfielders rotated well, creating angles and allowing the full-backs to advance. The key was patience: Bullets did not force passes into crowded areas, instead switching play and waiting for gaps to appear.

Ntopwa’s best moments came on the counter-attack. Their wingers looked to run into space behind the Bullets defence, but the final pass too often went astray. Defensively, Ntopwa were brave and committed, making several important blocks, but the quality of Bullets’ build-up play eventually told.

Standout Players

The Bullets midfield anchor was instrumental, breaking up play and recycling possession. The centre-backs were commanding in the air and dealt well with Ntopwa’s direct periods. The goalscorer’s movement was a constant problem, and the goalkeeper made a crucial save late on to preserve the clean sheet.

For Ntopwa FC Women, the goalkeeper kept the scoreline respectable with a series of saves, while the captain led by example in midfield. Their effort and organization will give them encouragement despite the defeat.

Season Impact

The three points keep Nyasa Big Bullets Women firmly in the MPRE LW title conversation. Winning away from home against a difficult opponent is the kind of result that builds momentum. For Ntopwa FC Women, the loss is a narrow one, and their performance showed enough to suggest they can compete with the league’s stronger sides. The head-to-head result will be remembered as a lesson in game management from the visitors.
