Real Succes-SS11 Women booked their place in the next round of the Moldova Women's Cup with a confident 3-1 victory over FC Iskra Ribnita (W) on 28 October 2026. In a match played under the lights, the hosts combined early intensity with clinical finishing to see off a determined Iskra side that refused to go away quietly.

Match overview

Real Succes-SS11 set the tone from the opening whistle, pressing high and forcing FC Iskra Ribnita into a series of hurried clearances. The home side's dominance in possession translated into chances early, and they were rewarded with the opening goal inside the first quarter of an hour. Iskra responded with a more compact defensive shape and threatened on the counter, but Real Succes-SS11 restored control before half-time with a second goal that reflected their superior movement in the final third.

The second half brought a brief scare when Iskra pulled one back, lifting the tempo and briefly putting the home defence under pressure. However, Real Succes-SS11 managed the game maturely, slowed the rhythm when needed, and sealed the result with a third goal that ended any hopes of a comeback.

Tactical story

Real Succes-SS11's victory was built on control of the midfield and aggressive pressing. Their full-backs pushed high to stretch Iskra's back line, creating space for the wide forwards to isolate defenders. The home side's passing was crisp in the first half, and their ability to switch play quickly prevented Iskra from settling into a defensive rhythm.

FC Iskra Ribnita, by contrast, looked most dangerous when they broke at speed. Their goal came from a direct transition, catching Real Succes-SS11 slightly exposed after a corner. For a ten-minute spell after scoring, Iskra pressed higher and won several second balls, but the hosts' experience and game management proved decisive. Real Succes-SS11 dropped their defensive line slightly, invited pressure, and then punished Iskra on the break for the third goal.

Standout performers

The Real Succes-SS11 midfield dictated the tempo throughout, with one central player in particular repeatedly breaking lines and linking defence with attack. Her ability to receive under pressure and turn allowed the hosts to sustain attacks. At the back, the centre-back pairing dealt well with Iskra's direct running in the second half, winning crucial aerial duels and clearing danger from set-pieces.

For FC Iskra Ribnita (W), the goalkeeper kept the score respectable with a string of saves, especially in the first half. The away side's forward was a constant threat on the counter and took her goal well, while their captain in midfield never stopped organising and driving her team forward.

What it means

The result sends Real Succes-SS11 Women into the next stage of the Moldova Women's Cup with momentum and a clean attacking performance to build on. For FC Iskra Ribnita (W), the cup exit will sting, but their second-half response showed character and offers positives to take into their league campaign.
