Bokelj Kotor claimed a well-earned 2-0 win over Decic Tuzi in the Montenegro First League, combining defensive discipline with two moments of attacking quality. The hosts scored in each half and controlled large periods of the game, securing three points that will boost their confidence in a demanding domestic campaign.

Decic Tuzi enjoyed more possession for stretches but struggled to create clear chances against a compact and organized Bokelj side. The result highlights the value of efficiency in the Montenegrin top flight, where Bokelj’s ability to defend their box and strike at key moments proved decisive.

Match Overview

Bokelj Kotor took the lead in the 37th minute through Nikola Vuković, who finished calmly after a quick attacking move down the right. The goal gave the hosts confidence, and they defended their advantage intelligently until half-time, limiting Decic Tuzi to speculative efforts from distance.

The second goal arrived in the 81st minute. Marko Đukanović doubled the lead with a composed finish after Bokelj won the ball high up the pitch and broke quickly. That goal effectively ended Decic Tuzi’s hopes of a comeback, and Bokelj managed the closing stages comfortably.

Decic Tuzi had moments of promise, particularly through their midfield rotations, but they lacked a cutting edge in the final third. Bokelj’s goalkeeper was rarely tested, and the home defence dealt well with the crosses and set-pieces that came their way.

Tactical Story

Bokelj Kotor were happy to defend in a compact block and attack through quick transitions. Their midfield screened the back four effectively, and the wide players tracked back diligently to limit Decic Tuzi’s crossing opportunities. When Bokelj won possession, they moved the ball forward with purpose and found gaps in the visiting defence.

Decic Tuzi dictated possession at times but lacked penetration. Their buildup was patient, yet they struggled to break through the lines and often settled for crosses that were comfortably defended. Bokelj’s game management, especially after taking the lead, was a key factor in the victory.

Standout Players

Nikola Vuković and Marko Đukanović will be pleased with their goals, but the foundation of the win was laid by Bokelj’s defence and goalkeeper. The centre-back pairing dealt with everything in the air, while the midfield won important second balls. For Decic Tuzi, the creative players showed flashes of quality but were too often isolated.

Season Impact

The three points strengthen Bokelj Kotor’s position in the Montenegro First League and give them a platform to build on. Decic Tuzi will need to find more creativity and ruthlessness in attack if they are to turn possession into results. In a league where home form is often crucial, Bokelj’s ability to win comfortably at home could prove especially valuable.
