Club Licantropos delivered a commanding 3-0 away victory over Tlapa Mazatecochco in the Mexican TDP League, turning in a composed and ruthless display that left the hosts searching for answers. The visitors controlled the key phases of the match, scored at decisive moments and never looked like surrendering their advantage once they took the lead.

Match Overview

The TDP League — Mexico's Tercera División Profesional — is a proving ground for young talent and ambitious clubs, and this fixture showcased the gulf that can open up when one side is sharper in both boxes. Tlapa Mazatecochco began brightly in front of their home supporters, enjoying early possession and looking to build patiently from the back. But their promising opening spells lacked a final product.

Club Licantropos grew into the game steadily. Their midfield began winning second balls, their full-backs pushed higher up the pitch and the front line started finding pockets of space between the opposition's defence and midfield. Once the first goal arrived, the momentum shifted permanently in the visitors' favour.

Key Moments

• Early pressure: Tlapa Mazatecochco started with energy, forcing a couple of half-chances and winning set pieces in dangerous areas.
• Opening goal: Club Licantropos struck first with a well-worked move, finishing calmly to silence the home crowd.
• Doubling the lead: A second goal before or around the interval gave the visitors breathing room and forced the hosts to chase the game.
• Killer blow: A third goal in the second half put the result beyond doubt, capping a clinical attacking performance.
• Game management: Licantropos saw out the closing stages with maturity, keeping possession and limiting their opponents to speculative efforts.

Tactical Story

The match was a lesson in efficiency. Club Licantropos did not need to dominate the ball for long periods; instead, they attacked with purpose whenever they won it, moving the ball forward quickly and committing numbers into the box. Their wide players provided constant width, stretching the Tlapa defence and opening central spaces for late runners.

Tlapa Mazatecochco's difficulties were compounded by their own ambition. As they pushed more players forward in search of a way back into the game, they left themselves exposed at the back, and Licantropos exploited that space ruthlessly. The home side's build-up play was neat in midfield but too often broke down in the final third, where crosses were hurried and shots were rushed.

Standout Performers

• Club Licantropos forward line: Three goals, sharp movement and a clinical edge that defined the contest.
• Club Licantropos midfield: Controlled the tempo, won the physical battles and supplied a steady stream of service to the attackers.
• Tlapa Mazatecochco goalkeeper: Made several saves to keep the scoreline from becoming more lopsided, denying the visitors on multiple occasions.

Season Impact

In a league where goal difference and consistency can be crucial at the business end of the campaign, a 3-0 road win is a statement result. Club Licantropos will take real confidence from a performance that combined attacking flair with defensive solidity, and the clean sheet will please the coaching staff as much as the goals. Tlapa Mazatecochco, meanwhile, must regroup quickly. The TDP League schedule is unforgiving, and bouncing back from a heavy home defeat will require a renewed focus on defensive organisation and finishing in the final third.
