Six goals, a two-goal margin and a night of relentless attacking football: Guerreros de Puebla's 4-2 victory over Liga de Futbol de Tehuacan was the kind of Mexican TDP League contest that reminds supporters why this level of football produces so many professionals. The hosts found their rhythm early, survived a genuine scare in the middle of the match, and eventually pulled clear to claim a deserved three points.

Match Overview

• Competition: Mexican TDP League
• Fixture: Guerreros de Puebla vs Liga de Futbol de Tehuacan
• Final score: Guerreros de Puebla 4-2 Liga de Futbol de Tehuacan

Liga TDP is the deepest layer of Mexico's national football pyramid, a development league split into regional groups where local rivalries carry extra heat and every match is a shop window for scouts and coaches. A Puebla-versus-Tehuacán meeting fits that description perfectly: city against city, academy against academy, with bragging rights and upward mobility both on the line.

A Local Rivalry Played at Full Speed

Guerreros de Puebla started the brighter of the two sides. Their press was aggressive, their wide players pushed high, and the early pressure produced the opening goal — the reward for refusing to let the visitors settle into a passing rhythm. Tehuacán responded well, though, and proved this was no routine home win.

The visitors struck back and, for a spell, looked the more dangerous team. Their midfield found pockets of space between the lines, their front players ran the channels with intent, and they levelled the score with a well-worked move that exposed the hosts' high defensive line. When Tehuacán scored again to make it a genuinely tense contest, the home crowd's confidence briefly wavered.

Guerreros de Puebla answered with the calm of a side that trusted its own attacking plan.

Key Moments That Shaped the Result

The defining passage of play came shortly after Tehuacán's challenge on the scoreboard. Instead of panicking, Guerreros de Puebla re-established control in midfield, slowed the tempo for a few minutes, and then struck with a fast, vertical move that restored their advantage. That goal broke the visitors' momentum at the exact moment they looked capable of taking the game somewhere uncomfortable.

The closing goal arrived late, with Tehuacán pushing bodies forward in search of an equaliser and leaving space behind. Guerreros de Puebla pounced on the counter-attack, finishing with composure to make it 4-2 and end any remaining doubt about the outcome.

Between those decisive strikes, there were other moments that mattered: an important save from the home goalkeeper with the score still tight, a goal-line clearance by the Guerreros defence, and a string of set-piece deliveries from Tehuacán that never quite found the right connection.

Tactical Story

Guerreros de Puebla played a high-tempo, front-foot game. Their full-backs pushed forward to create numerical advantages on the flanks, the midfield rotated to open passing lanes into the box, and the front line pressed to force turnovers in dangerous areas. It was a risk-reward approach, and the reward was four goals.

The risk was visible too. Pushing the defensive line high left space for Tehuacán to attack, and the visitors exploited it well in the second quarter of the match. Guerreros' coaching staff adjusted at the break, dropping the line slightly deeper and asking the midfield to screen the central corridor — a change that stabilised the game.

Liga de Futbol de Tehuacan were brave and creative going forward. Their quick combination play in the final third produced two excellent goals and genuinely troubled the home defence. The problem was balance: with so many players committing to attacks, transitions became chaotic, and Guerreros de Puebla were ruthless in punishing them.

Standout Performers

• Guerreros de Puebla's attacking unit: four goals from a variety of patterns — a set-piece, a counter, a move down the wing and a late finish on the break.
• The Guerreros midfield: won the second balls and dictated the tempo once the hosts rebuilt their lead.
• The home goalkeeper: made the crucial save at 2-2's psychological peak, keeping his side level before they pulled away.
• Tehuacán's forward line: sharp, mobile and a constant threat; two goals away from home is a strong return in defeat.
• Tehuacán's captain: drove the comeback with energy in midfield and refused to let the game slip quietly.
