Guardianes de Oriente FC and CH Futbol Club cancel each other out in Mexican TDP League

Guardianes de Oriente FC and CH Futbol Club played to a 0-0 draw in the Mexican TDP League on 24 October 2026, in a match defined by compact defending, midfield battles, and a lack of cutting edge in the final third. Both teams had spells of control, but neither could find the breakthrough that would have turned a share of the points into a victory.

Guardianes de Oriente FC looked to impose themselves early, using the width of the pitch and trying to pin CH Futbol Club back. The home side’s midfield pressed aggressively and forced several turnovers in promising areas, but CH Futbol Club’s defenders recovered well and limited the quality of service into the box. As the half progressed, the visitors settled and began to threaten with direct runs and set pieces.

Match overview

The first half was a cagey affair. Guardianes de Oriente had more possession but struggled to create clear chances against a well-drilled CH Futbol Club defence. CH Futbol Club, meanwhile, looked dangerous whenever they won the ball in midfield and moved forward quickly. The match became a tactical arm-wrestle, with both teams wary of leaving space behind their defensive lines.

The second half brought more urgency. Guardianes de Oriente pushed extra players into attacking positions and won several corners, while CH Futbol Club responded with counter-attacks that stretched the home defence. The final 15 minutes were particularly open, but poor decision-making in the final third and some last-ditch defending kept the game goalless. A late flurry of set pieces came to nothing, and both sides had to settle for a point.

Key moments

• Guardianes de Oriente FC’s best chance of the first half came from a header following a deep cross, but it went straight at the goalkeeper.
• CH Futbol Club broke quickly midway through the second half, only for the final shot to be blocked by a recovering defender.
• A goalmouth scramble from a Guardianes corner ended with the ball being hacked clear by CH Futbol Club.
• In the closing minutes, CH Futbol Club’s free kick from a dangerous angle was claimed confidently by the home goalkeeper.

Tactical story and standout performers

Guardianes de Oriente FC’s approach was built on possession and patient probing, but they lacked the final pass to unlock a compact opponent. CH Futbol Club were more direct and looked to exploit transitions, and their discipline without the ball was central to earning the clean sheet. Both teams worked hard to win the midfield battle, which meant the defenders were often protected and the goalkeepers were rarely tested by clear-cut chances.

The standout performers were the two goalkeepers and the central defenders. Guardianes’ goalkeeper was commanding from crosses and set pieces, while CH Futbol Club’s goalkeeper made an important second-half save to preserve the draw. The centre-backs on both sides read the game well, stepping in to intercept passes and clearing danger when the ball was played into the box.

The 0-0 result adds a point to the Mexican TDP League standings for both clubs. Guardianes de Oriente FC will look to convert their possession into more shots on target in future matches, while CH Futbol Club can take confidence from a disciplined away performance. In a league where consistency and development are crucial, both teams showed solid foundations in a hard-fought draw.
