Huracanes Izcalli FC Thrash Atletico Hidalgo 6-1 in MEX LPS B Goal Fest

Huracanes Izcalli FC produced a ruthless attacking performance in the MEX LPS B, dismantling Atletico Hidalgo 6-1 on October 3, 2026. The home side were relentless from the opening whistle, scoring three goals before halftime and adding three more after the break to complete a dominant victory that will be remembered as one of the standout scorelines of the season.

Match Overview

Huracanes Izcalli set the tone inside the first ten minutes, pressing Atletico Hidalgo high and forcing turnovers in dangerous areas. The early goal settled any nerves and immediately put the visitors on the back foot. Atletico Hidalgo attempted to respond with a compact midfield block, but they struggled to contain Huracanes Izcalli’s quick combinations through the half-spaces. Every time the home side won possession, they attacked with purpose and numbers.

By halftime, the contest was effectively over. Huracanes Izcalli led 3-0 and had already forced Atletico Hidalgo’s goalkeeper into several difficult saves. The visitors briefly improved after the interval and pulled a goal back, but any hope of a comeback was extinguished almost immediately as Huracanes Izcalli scored again and then added two more late goals to complete the rout. The six-goal display highlighted the attacking depth and ruthlessness of the home squad.

Key Moments

The scoring opened in the 7th minute when Kevin Ramírez latched onto a through ball, rounded the goalkeeper, and rolled the ball into an empty net. Huracanes Izcalli doubled their lead in the 19th minute through Josué Martínez, who curled a precise shot into the far corner from the edge of the box. Ramírez struck again in the 34th minute, finishing off a rapid counterattack to make it 3-0 before the break.

Atletico Hidalgo pulled one back in the 63rd minute with a well-taken header from a corner, briefly quieting the home crowd. The response was immediate. Huracanes Izcalli restored their three-goal cushion in the 71st minute when Ramírez completed his hat-trick with a close-range finish after a scramble in the box. A substitute added the fifth in the 82nd minute with a low drive, and a sixth arrived in the 88th minute after another incisive move carved open the tired Hidalgo defense.

Tactical Story

Huracanes Izcalli lined up with an aggressive 4-3-3 that became a 4-2-3-1 in possession, allowing their full-backs to push high and create overloads on the wings. Their high press was the foundation of the victory: Atletico Hidalgo’s center-backs were repeatedly forced into rushed passes, and the home midfield pounced on every loose ball. The front three rotated constantly, making it impossible for Hidalgo’s back line to mark them man-for-man.

Atletico Hidalgo, by contrast, struggled to maintain possession and were often left exposed when their midfield line pushed too far forward. Their consolation goal came from a rare set-piece opportunity, but defensively they were overwhelmed by Huracanes Izcalli’s speed and direct running. The match became a lesson in transition football: every lost ball seemed to turn into a dangerous attack for the home side.

Standout Players

• Kevin Ramírez (Huracanes Izcalli FC): The clear man of the match. His hat-trick included a composed finish, a counterattacking strike, and a poacher’s goal. He was a constant menace with his movement and finishing.
• Josué Martínez (Huracanes Izcalli FC): Scored a superb curling effort and dictated the tempo in the final third. His link-up play with Ramírez repeatedly broke Atletico Hidalgo’s defensive shape.
• Huracanes Izcalli midfield: Dominated the center of the park, winning second balls and launching quick attacks. Their energy set the tone for the entire performance.
• Atletico Hidalgo goalkeeper: Despite conceding six, he made several saves that prevented an even heavier defeat, including a point-blank stop in the first half.

Season Impact

The 6-1 win gives Huracanes Izcalli FC a significant boost in the MEX LPS B table, adding three points and a major advantage in goal difference. In a league where the playoff race can be decided by fine margins, such a convincing victory could prove crucial come the end of the season. It also sends a strong message to the rest of the division about Huracanes Izcalli’s attacking potential.

For Atletico Hidalgo, the defeat is a painful setback that exposes defensive vulnerabilities and raises questions about their ability to compete against the league’s top sides. They will need to regroup quickly, tighten their shape, and find a way to avoid the turnovers that proved so costly. Huracanes Izcalli, meanwhile, will look to build on this result and turn a spectacular single-g
