Tactical story

Leones Negros FC set up in a compact 4-4-2, looking to win the ball in midfield and attack quickly through the channels. That plan worked early, with Ibarra's goal coming from exactly that kind of quick transition. Guerreros de Autlán struggled to find space in central areas during the opening half-hour, but their set-piece threat kept them in the game.

At half-time, Guerreros de Autlán adjusted by pushing their full-backs higher and committing an extra midfielder to the press. The change allowed them to win more second balls and pin Leones Negros FC deeper. The equalizer came from a set piece, but the winner was a product of sustained pressure: a midfield turnover, a quick exchange, and a composed finish from Lomelí. Leones Negros responded with a late switch to a back three, but Guerreros managed the closing minutes well.

Standout players

Diego Lomelí was the match-winner for Guerreros de Autlán, combining intelligent movement with a decisive finish. Carlos Villanueva's equalizer was equally important, and his aerial presence troubled Leones Negros throughout. The Guerreros goalkeeper also deserves credit for a late save that protected all three points.

For Leones Negros FC, Jesús Ibarra was the standout performer, taking his goal well and remaining a threat on the counter. Their midfield worked hard to disrupt Guerreros' rhythm, but the visitors could not hold on after the home side raised their intensity in the second half.

League impact

The win gives Guerreros de Autlán a valuable three points in the Liga Premier Serie standings and strengthens their position in the race for the promotion play-offs. Coming from behind against a direct rival makes the result even more significant, and it gives the squad momentum heading into their next fixtures.

Leones Negros FC, meanwhile, will view the match as a missed opportunity. They started well and led early, but they could not protect the advantage. The head-to-head result now favors Guerreros de Autlán, who will look to build on this comeback win as the Liga Premier Serie season progresses.
