Monterrey Women 10-0 Necaxa Women: Rayadas Deliver a Statement Performance in Liga MX Femenil

Monterrey Women produced a ruthless, record-equalling display in the Liga MX Femenil, dismantling Club Necaxa Women 10-0 in a match that will be remembered for its sheer one-sidedness and the clinical precision of the home attack. The Rayadas were ahead inside five minutes and never once loosened their grip on the contest.

Ten goals, multiple scorers, and a clean sheet: it was as complete a performance as the league has seen this season, and it sends an unmistakable message to the rest of the title race.

Match Overview

Monterrey set the tone from kick-off. Their press was aggressive and coordinated, forcing Necaxa into mistakes deep in their own half, and the opening goal arrived almost immediately as the defence failed to clear. From there, the match settled into a familiar pattern — Monterrey with the ball, Necaxa chasing shadows, and the home crowd enjoying every minute.

By the interval the Rayadas were five goals clear, and there was no suggestion that they intended to ease off after the break. The closing stages brought further goals as the visitors' resistance, understandably, began to fade.

How the Rayadas Won It

The tactical story was less about complexity and more about execution. Monterrey's midfield controlled the tempo, recycling possession quickly and switching play to isolate defenders in one-on-one situations. The full-backs pushed extremely high, effectively turning the game into a sustained siege, and Necaxa simply had no outlet to relieve the pressure.

Defensively, the home side were barely tested, but their organisation remained sharp throughout — a clean sheet is never an accident, even in a game this lopsided. Their rest defence, the positioning of the players left behind during attacks, snuffed out the few counter-attacking opportunities Necaxa attempted.

Standout Players

The obvious headline belongs to the forward who completed her hat-trick from the penalty spot, capping a performance full of intelligent movement and ruthless finishing. The creative midfielder behind her was equally influential, dictating play and repeatedly finding the pass that broke the last line.

The substitute who came on and scored twice deserves special mention for maintaining the standard when the game was already decided — a mark of a squad with genuine depth. For Necaxa, it was a chastening afternoon, but their goalkeeper made several saves that prevented the margin from becoming even more severe.

Season Impact

Results like this do more than add three points. In the Liga MX Femenil, where goal difference can decide seeding and home advantage in the Liguilla, a double-digit scoreline is a significant competitive asset. Monterrey Women now carry both a strong goal difference and a psychological edge into the next stretch of fixtures.

The Rayadas remain among the elite clubs in the Mexican women's game, with a squad built to compete for trophies every season. Performances like this underline why they are perennial contenders at the top of the table and regular participants in the playoff phase.

What's Next

Monterrey will look to carry this momentum into their next fixture, mindful that the calendar only gets more demanding from here. Necaxa Women, meanwhile, must regroup quickly. Heavy defeats can shape a season if allowed to linger, and their response in the coming weeks will say a great deal about their resilience and their ambitions in the Liga MX Femenil table.
