Imigresen FC II came into the fixture hoping to use home advantage, but Kelantan City quickly established control with aggressive pressing and quick ball movement. The away side's intensity forced turnovers in dangerous areas, and once the first goal arrived, the contest began to tilt firmly in Kelantan City's favour.

The 4-0 scoreline reflects Kelantan City's dominance in both boxes. They defended well when required, won the midfield battle, and converted their chances with a clinical edge that Imigresen FC II could not match.

Key moments

Kelantan City opened the scoring inside the first quarter-hour, capitalising on a loose ball in the Imigresen FC II defensive third. The early goal settled the visitors and forced the home side to push forward, creating more space for Kelantan City's attackers.

The lead was doubled before half-time after a well-worked move down the right flank. A low cross into the penalty area was met with a composed finish, leaving the Imigresen FC II goalkeeper with little chance. Kelantan City added a third shortly after the restart, effectively ending any hopes of a home comeback.

The fourth goal arrived late in the second half, with Kelantan City's striker rounding off a strong individual display. The visitors could have added more, but a combination of last-ditch defending and saves from the Imigresen FC II goalkeeper kept the final margin at four.

Tactical story

Kelantan City's high press was a defining feature of the match. They closed down Imigresen FC II's midfielders quickly and forced long passes, which were often mopped up by the visiting defence. In possession, Kelantan City used width effectively, stretching the home back line and creating gaps between the full-backs and centre-backs.

Imigresen FC II struggled to sustain attacks. When they did get forward, their final ball was rushed, and Kelantan City's defensive midfielders were well positioned to intercept and launch counters. The away side's transitions were especially dangerous, turning defence into attack in just a few passes.

Standout performers

Kelantan City's centre-forward led the line impressively, holding up play and finishing with confidence. The midfield trio also deserved credit for controlling the tempo and winning second balls. At the back, the centre-back pairing dealt with Imigresen FC II's aerial threat and kept the clean sheet intact.

For Imigresen FC II, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, while one of their wide midfielders showed flashes of creativity. However, the home side lacked the collective intensity needed to match Kelantan City over 90 minutes.

League impact

The 4-0 win gives Kelantan City a significant boost in the Malaysia A1 Semi-Pro League standings, adding three points and a strong goal-difference advantage. For Imigresen FC II, the result is a reminder of the standards required in the division, and they will need a quick response in their next outing.
