SC Ell Women produced a dominant 5-0 victory over FC Kehlen Women in the Luxembourg Ligue 1 Women on 25 October 2026, delivering a complete attacking performance and a clean sheet that underlined their superiority on the day. From the early stages, SC Ell controlled possession, created chances at regular intervals and never allowed FC Kehlen to settle into a comfortable rhythm.

Match overview

SC Ell Women set the tone with a high tempo and aggressive pressing, forcing FC Kehlen Women into hurried clearances and turnovers in midfield. The hosts moved the ball quickly from side to side, stretching the Kehlen defensive shape and opening gaps for runners from deep. Once the first goal arrived, the confidence flowed through the team and the attacking pressure only increased.

FC Kehlen Women worked hard to limit the damage and had brief moments of resistance, but they struggled to keep possession long enough to relieve pressure. SC Ell’s midfield won the majority of second balls, and the front line repeatedly found space in the channels. By the time the final whistle arrived, the 5-0 scoreline reflected the difference in control, chance creation and finishing.

Key moments

• SC Ell Women opened the scoring after a sustained spell of possession, finishing a well-worked move inside the penalty area.
• A second goal followed quickly, giving the hosts a comfortable cushion and forcing FC Kehlen to chase the game.
• The third goal arrived before the interval, effectively putting the result beyond doubt.
• In the second half, SC Ell added two more goals as space opened up and their attacking rotations became increasingly difficult to defend.

Tactical story

SC Ell’s approach was built on control and movement. Their midfielders rotated well, creating passing lanes and allowing the full-backs to push forward in support. With the wide players hugging the touchline and the forwards making intelligent runs behind the defence, FC Kehlen were stretched across the pitch and struggled to protect the central areas.

Without the ball, SC Ell pressed with discipline and won possession back quickly, often before FC Kehlen could cross the halfway line. The clean sheet was not simply a product of Kehlen’s wastefulness; it came from a well-organised defensive structure and a collective willingness to track runners. For FC Kehlen, the challenge now is to regroup, tighten the spaces between the lines and find a way to keep the ball more effectively under pressure.

Standout performers

SC Ell’s attacking unit shared the responsibility brilliantly, with the forward line and midfield combining to create a steady stream of chances. The midfield was particularly impressive, controlling the tempo and winning loose balls to sustain the pressure. At the back, the defence stayed focused throughout and protected the goalkeeper well, ensuring the five-goal lead was never threatened.

Table impact

The three points strengthen SC Ell Women’s position in the Luxembourg Ligue 1 Women standings and give them a significant confidence boost. A 5-0 win also sends a clear message about their attacking potential, while the clean sheet adds another layer of satisfaction. FC Kehlen Women will look to move on quickly from the result, but the match highlighted the work ahead if they are to compete more effectively against the division’s stronger sides.
