Anges Verts 0-0 New Jack: Defences Prevail in Vodacom Ligue 1 Stalemate

Anges Verts and New Jack shared the spoils after a 0-0 draw in the DR Congo Vodacom Ligue 1 on Wednesday evening. The home side saw more of the ball, but New Jack defended stubbornly and earned a point through organization, concentration, and some important goalkeeping.

The match was not short of effort, but it lacked the final touch in front of goal. Both teams had moments of promise, yet neither could break the deadlock as the contest drifted toward a predictable but hard-fought draw.

Match Overview

Anges Verts began with attacking intent, moving the ball quickly through midfield and looking to get their wingers into one-on-one situations. New Jack were happy to defend in a compact shape and looked to hit on the break when Anges Verts lost possession in advanced areas.

The first half produced few clear chances, with both sides guilty of rushed final passes. The second half was more open, as Anges Verts pushed more players forward in search of a winner. New Jack responded by defending deeper and relying on their goalkeeper to handle crosses and set pieces.

Key Moments

• 15th minute: Anges Verts’ forward received the ball inside the box, but his shot was saved at the near post.
• 33rd minute: New Jack won a free-kick on the edge of the area, but the effort curled just wide.
• 58th minute: A header from an Anges Verts corner was cleared off the line by a New Jack defender.
• 71st minute: New Jack’s goalkeeper made a strong save after a low drive from the edge of the box.
• 86th minute: Anges Verts delivered another dangerous corner, but New Jack cleared under pressure.

Tactical Story

Anges Verts tried to impose themselves through possession and width, but their attacks often became predictable. Crosses into the box were dealt with by New Jack’s central defenders, and shots from distance rarely troubled the goalkeeper. The home side’s midfielders worked hard to recycle possession, but the decisive pass eluded them.

New Jack’s approach was built on defensive solidity. They kept their shape, closed the space between the lines, and looked to counter through quick forward runs. Although they created few chances, their discipline frustrated Anges Verts and allowed them to leave with a clean sheet.

Standout Players

New Jack’s goalkeeper was central to the result, making a key second-half save and commanding his area from set pieces. Their central defender also produced a strong performance, clearing several dangerous deliveries. For Anges Verts, the right winger was the most persistent attacking threat, while the defensive midfielder worked tirelessly to recover possession and keep the team moving forward.

Table Impact

The draw gives both teams a point in the DR Congo Vodacom Ligue 1, but the mood will differ. Anges Verts will be disappointed not to convert their territory into a victory, especially at home. New Jack, by contrast, will see the clean sheet as a positive away result. With the table remaining tight, both sides know that turning draws into wins will be essential as the campaign develops.
