Tactical Story

Delfines Del Este lined up in a 4-2-3-1, looking to control possession and attack through the half-spaces. Their two holding midfielders screened the back four effectively, allowing the full-backs to push forward and provide width. The front four interchanged positions constantly, making it difficult for Atlantico to mark them.

Atlantico FC used a 4-3-3 and tried to press high, but they were often bypassed by quick combinations. Their goal came from a set-piece situation, but in open play they struggled to create clear chances. After conceding the third, their heads dropped, and Delfines managed the game professionally to see out the win.

Standout Players

Jean Carlos Rodriguez was the engine in midfield for Delfines, dictating tempo and providing the assist for the opening goal. Luis Beltre scored the spectacular second and was a constant threat with his dribbling. At the back, Rafael Pujols was composed and authoritative, dealing with Atlantico's late pressure.

For Atlantico FC, Miguel Rosario worked hard in attack and scored the penalty, while Jhonatan Cruz tried to create from midfield. But defensively, the visitors were too porous and paid the price.

What It Means

Delfines Del Este move up the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol table with a valuable home win that builds momentum. Atlantico FC remain with work to do, especially on the road, where they have struggled to keep clean sheets. With the season reaching a critical stage, both teams know that consistency will be key to their ambitions.
