Jwayya secure dominant 2-0 win over Shabab Al Sahel

Jwayya earned a convincing 2-0 victory against Shabab Al Sahel SC in the Lebanese Premier League on 24 October 2026. Two well-taken goals and a disciplined defensive display gave the home side a deserved three points and strengthened their position in the league table.

Match overview

Jwayya began the match with confidence, pressing Shabab Al Sahel high and forcing errors in the visitors’ build-up. The early pressure produced the opening goal after a neat move down the right flank ended with a low finish into the far corner. Shabab Al Sahel tried to respond through quick breaks, but Jwayya’s back four remained organised and limited clear chances.

The second goal arrived midway through the second half, effectively ending the visitors’ resistance. A driving run from midfield created space, and the forward applied a composed finish. Shabab Al Sahel pushed forward late in search of a consolation goal, but Jwayya’s goalkeeper and defenders dealt comfortably with the crosses and set pieces that followed.

Key moments

• Early breakthrough: Jwayya’s right-sided attack opened the scoring with a precise finish.
• Midfield control: Jwayya’s central players won the second-ball battle and dictated the tempo.
• Second goal: A powerful run and composed finish doubled the lead after the break.
• Clean sheet: Jwayya defended their box well in the final stages to secure all three points.

Tactical story

Jwayya’s 4-2-3-1 shape gave them solidity in midfield and allowed their wide players to attack with freedom. They pressed in coordinated bursts, forcing Shabab Al Sahel into long passes that were easily intercepted. The home side also controlled the rhythm after scoring, slowing the game down and denying their opponents momentum.

Shabab Al Sahel’s best spell came immediately after half-time, when they pushed more bodies forward and won a series of corners. However, they lacked a finishing touch, and Jwayya’s counter-attacking threat remained present throughout. The second goal was the decisive blow, and from there Jwayya managed the game expertly.

Standout players

Jwayya’s midfield engine set the tone with relentless pressing and intelligent distribution, while the forwards combined well for both goals. The centre-back pairing was commanding in the air and composed on the ball. For Shabab Al Sahel, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, but the team’s attacking players were too often isolated.

Season impact

This victory gives Jwayya valuable momentum in the Lebanese Premier League and reinforces their home form. Shabab Al Sahel will need to improve their ball retention and creativity in the final third if they are to climb the standings. For Jwayya, the clean sheet will be as satisfying as the goals, providing a platform for the matches ahead.
