Hilal Al-Nasr secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Al Egtmaaey Tripoli SC in the Lebanese Premier 2 on October 23, 2026, using a strong first-half display and a resilient second-half defence to claim all three points.

Match overview

Hilal Al-Nasr started with intent and took the lead through Ali Hamdan, who capitalised on a quick attacking move and finished confidently inside the penalty area. The home side continued to press and doubled their advantage when Hassan Khalil converted a well-worked opportunity, giving them control of the contest.

Al Egtmaaey Tripoli SC responded before the break, pulling one back through Omar Chehade, whose goal changed the complexion of the match and ensured a tense second half.

Key moments

After Chehade’s reply, Al Egtmaaey pushed forward in search of an equaliser and forced Hilal Al-Nasr into a series of defensive interventions. The home goalkeeper made two important saves, while the defence dealt with late crosses and set pieces to protect the narrow advantage.

• Hilal Al-Nasr opener: Ali Hamdan broke the deadlock with a composed finish.
• Second goal: Hassan Khalil doubled the lead after a flowing attacking move.
• Al Egtmaaey response: Omar Chehade reduced the deficit before half-time.
• Late resistance: Hilal Al-Nasr held firm under sustained pressure.

Tactical story

Hilal Al-Nasr’s early pressing and quick ball movement caused problems for Al Egtmaaey Tripoli SC, especially in wide areas. Once they had the lead, the home side dropped slightly deeper and looked to protect the central corridor. Al Egtmaaey improved after the interval, controlling more possession and pushing numbers forward, but they lacked the final incision against a well-organised back line.

Standout players and table impact

Hamdan and Khalil were the decisive attacking figures for Hilal Al-Nasr, while Chehade’s goal kept Al Egtmaaey in the contest until the final whistle. The win gives Hilal Al-Nasr an important boost in the Lebanese Premier 2 table, while Al Egtmaaey Tripoli SC will take encouragement from their second-half response despite the defeat.
