Tactical Story

Ittihad Al-Shorta set up with an aggressive midfield press, looking to win the ball high and create chances quickly. Their wide players stretched the Sporty defence, while the front line rotated well to create space between the lines. That approach worked perfectly for the opening goal and continued to cause problems throughout the first hour.

Sporty adjusted after the second goal, pushing more players forward and playing with greater urgency. Their goal gave them belief, and they finished the match strongly, but Ittihad Al-Shorta’s defensive organisation and game management proved enough. It was a performance that mixed attacking quality with resilience.

Ahmed Al-Mutairi was a constant threat for Ittihad Al-Shorta, combining sharp movement with composed finishing. Ali Al-Fadhli also impressed, not only for his goal but for his ability to link play in midfield and drive the team forward.

For Sporty, Mohammed Al-Sulaiman was the bright spot, taking his goal well and leading the late charge. Their goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, while the defence improved significantly after a difficult opening period.

The three points are a significant boost for Ittihad Al-Shorta in the Kuwaiti First Division League promotion race.
