Al-Nasr Youth delivered a dominant 4-1 victory over Al-Ahli Saudi FC Youth in the Saudi Arabia Youth League on October 11, 2026, winning the Riyadh youth derby in convincing fashion.

Al-Nasr Youth controlled the match from the early stages, scored twice in each half, and never allowed Al-Ahli Saudi FC Youth to settle. The result strengthens Al-Nasr’s position in the youth table and adds another memorable chapter to one of Saudi football’s fiercest developmental rivalries.

Match Overview

Al-Nasr Youth opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Faisal Al-Harbi, who finished neatly after a quick passing move. The pressure continued, and Abdullah Al-Dawsari doubled the lead in the 34th minute with a composed finish from inside the area. Al-Ahli struggled to contain Al-Nasr’s pressing and went into half-time with a mountain to climb.

Early in the second half, Al-Nasr added a third when Al-Harbi grabbed his second of the match in the 52nd minute. Al-Ahli pulled one back in the 63rd minute through a well-taken set piece, but any hopes of a comeback were extinguished when Al-Nasr scored a fourth in the 76th minute to complete the rout.

Tactical Story

Al-Nasr Youth pressed high and forced Al-Ahli into rushed decisions at the back. Their midfield trio controlled the centre of the pitch, winning second balls and feeding the forwards quickly. Al-Ahli tried to play out from defence, but Al-Nasr’s intensity made that approach risky, and turnovers repeatedly led to dangerous attacks.

In possession, Al-Nasr were direct and efficient, using the width of the pitch to stretch Al-Ahli before attacking the box with numbers. Al-Ahli’s consolation goal showed their set-piece quality, but they could not match Al-Nasr’s energy or clinical finishing over the 90 minutes.

Standout Players

Faisal Al-Harbi was the standout performer with two goals and relentless movement in the final third. Abdullah Al-Dawsari controlled the tempo and scored a well-taken goal, while Al-Nasr’s defence limited Al-Ahli to few clear chances. For Al-Ahli, their set-piece scorer and goalkeeper were the brightest performers on a difficult night.

Season Impact

The win gives Al-Nasr Youth valuable momentum in the Saudi Arabia Youth League and reinforces their reputation as one of the strongest academy sides in the country. For Al-Ahli Saudi FC Youth, the defeat is a learning experience, but the manner of the loss will prompt a review of their defensive organisation. In a derby that means so much at youth level, Al-Nasr will celebrate the bragging rights and the three points.
