Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth 1-0 Al-Qadasiya Youth: Solitary Goal Settles Tight Saudi Arabia Youth League Contest

Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth claimed a narrow but valuable 1-0 win over Al-Qadasiya Youth in the Saudi Arabia Youth League on October 11, 2026. The match, played under the lights at 20:30, was decided by a single moment of quality, and it proved enough to separate two well-organised sides in a contest that was far more competitive than the final scoreline suggests.

Match Overview

Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth began with purpose, moving the ball quickly through midfield and looking to pin Al-Qadasiya Youth deep in their own half. The hosts created the first meaningful opening when their right winger cut inside and forced a low save at the near post. Al-Qadasiya responded with a compact defensive shape and threatened on the break, using pace on the flanks to stretch the Al-Faisaly back line.

The decisive goal arrived after a patient build-up. Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth worked the ball into the final third, and a clever run between the centre-backs opened space for a composed finish into the bottom corner. From there, the home side had to show maturity beyond their years, defending with discipline and managing the tempo of the game.

Key Moments

• Early warning: Al-Faisaly’s first shot on target forced a sharp save and set the tone for their attacking intent.
• Breakthrough: The only goal came from a well-timed run and a calm finish, rewarding Al-Faisaly’s pressure.
• Late block: A goal-line clearance and a strong save from the Al-Faisaly goalkeeper preserved the clean sheet in the closing minutes.
• Al-Qadasiya push: The visitors threw numbers forward late on, but crosses into the box were dealt with by a resilient home defence.

Tactical Story

Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth set up in a flexible 4-2-3-1, with the two holding midfielders screening the centre-backs and allowing the full-backs to advance. Their pressing was intelligent rather than reckless, forcing Al-Qadasiya into long passes that were often mopped up by the defensive line. Al-Qadasiya Youth, meanwhile, looked most dangerous when they won the ball in wide areas and attacked quickly, but they struggled to create clear-cut chances against a crowded penalty area.

Standout Players

The Al-Faisaly goalkeeper was central to the win, making two important saves and commanding his box during late set-pieces. The centre-back pairing read the game well, while the goalscorer’s movement in the final third was the difference between the teams. For Al-Qadasiya, the midfield anchor worked tirelessly and the left winger carried the biggest counter-attacking threat, but the final pass was missing on the night.

Standings and Season Impact

This 1-0 result gives Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth three important points and a clean sheet to build on in the Saudi Arabia Youth League standings. For Al-Qadasiya Youth, the defeat is a frustrating one, but the performance showed enough defensive organisation and attacking promise to suggest they will remain competitive. In youth football, narrow results like this often hinge on concentration and composure, and Al-Faisaly demonstrated both when it mattered most.
