Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth secured a 2-1 home victory over Al Hazm Youths in the Saudi Arabia Youth League on 27 October 2026, producing a controlled attacking display and holding off a late fightback to claim all three points.

Match overview

The hosts made the brighter start and were rewarded for their early initiative. By establishing a lead before the interval, Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth forced Al Hazm to chase the game, and the second half became a test of the home side’s ability to manage space and protect its advantage.

Al Hazm Youths improved after the break and pulled a goal back to set up a nervous finish, but Al-Faisaly Harmah’s overall balance between attack and defence proved enough. The 2-1 scoreline reflected a competitive contest in which both teams had spells of control, but the home side made the decisive moments count.

Key moments

• Opening goal: Al-Faisaly Harmah took the lead with a well-worked attacking move, finding space between the lines and finishing with composure.
• Doubling the advantage: The hosts added a second goal after the break, capitalising on sustained pressure and a defensive lapse.
• Al Hazm’s response: The visitors reduced the deficit with a goal that changed the mood of the match and forced Al-Faisaly Harmah to defend deeper.
• Late resistance: The home defence dealt with a flurry of crosses and set pieces in the closing stages to preserve the win.

Tactical story

Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth used width effectively and looked dangerous whenever their midfielders could turn and run at the defence. Their pressing also caused problems, forcing Al Hazm into hurried clearances and giving the hosts repeated opportunities to recycle possession in advanced areas.

Al Hazm’s best moments came when they increased the tempo and played more directly. The visitors’ goal gave them belief, and for a period they pinned Al-Faisaly Harmah back. However, the home side adjusted by dropping their midfield line slightly deeper and closing the central spaces that had begun to open up.

Standout performers

Al-Faisaly Harmah’s midfield was central to the win, combining energy with intelligent passing and providing the platform for the team’s two goals. The forwards also worked hard without the ball, pressing defenders and limiting Al Hazm’s ability to build from the back.

Al Hazm Youths could take encouragement from their second-half response. Their wide players carried the main attacking threat, while the goalkeeper made several important stops to keep the deficit manageable. In the end, the visitors lacked the final clear chance needed to complete the comeback.

What the result means

The victory strengthens Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth’s position and underlines the value of turning home fixtures into points. Winning after conceding late on is also a useful test of character for a young squad, and the result should give the group confidence as the Saudi Arabia Youth League season progresses.

Al Hazm Youths leave with a defeat but not without positives. Their second-half reaction showed resilience, and the team created enough pressure to suggest that better results are within reach. Still, in a league where fine margins decide matches, conceding twice before mounting a comeback proved costly.
