Al Ula FC Youths 0-0 Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth — Al Ula FC Youths and Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth played out a hard-fought goalless draw in the Saudi Arabia Youth League on 23 October 2026, with both sides taking a point from a match that was short on goals but full of tactical discipline and youthful energy.

Played under the lights at 20:45 local time, the fixture was billed as an opportunity for two developing sides to make their mark in the Saudi Arabia Youth League. What followed was a cagey, closely contested encounter in which clear chances were limited and both goalkeepers enjoyed relatively comfortable evenings behind well-organised back lines.

Match overview

Al Ula FC Youths began the match with intent, looking to impose themselves through quick passing in midfield and purposeful runs down the flanks. Their early possession did not translate into a breakthrough, however, as Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth defended with patience and kept their shape compact.

Al-Faisaly Harmah grew into the contest as the first half wore on. Their approach was more direct, using long balls into the channels and set pieces to test the Al Ula defence. The match developed into a battle between Al Ula’s patient build-up and Al-Faisaly Harmah’s disciplined counter-attacking plan.

Key moments

The first half produced the game’s clearest opening when Al Ula FC Youths worked the ball into the box only for a last-ditch block to deny a close-range effort. Al-Faisaly Harmah responded with a dangerous free-kick that flashed narrowly wide of the post.

• 18th minute: Al Ula’s goalkeeper made a smart save at the near post after a quick Al-Faisaly Harmah counter.
• 34th minute: A goal-bound Al Ula shot was blocked by a defender after a flowing team move.
• 52nd minute: Al-Faisaly Harmah had the ball in the net, but the effort was ruled out for offside.
• 78th minute: Al Ula’s best chance of the second half ended with a header drifting over the crossbar.
• 90th minute: A late Al-Faisaly Harmah corner caused a scramble in the box before being cleared.

Tactical story

Al Ula FC Youths finished the match with more possession, but they struggled to turn that control into clear-cut chances. Their midfielders circulated the ball well and tried to pull Al-Faisaly Harmah out of position, yet the final pass was often missing or intercepted at the crucial moment.

Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth, by contrast, were content to defend in a mid-to-low block and strike on the break. Their back four stayed compact, limiting space between the lines and forcing Al Ula to play in front of them. The strategy worked well enough to secure a clean sheet, even if it meant fewer attacking opportunities at the other end.

Standout performers

Both centre-back pairings deserved credit for the clean sheets. Al Ula’s defence dealt with a series of second-half crosses and set pieces, while Al-Faisaly Harmah’s back line produced a number of important blocks and clearances. The two goalkeepers were rarely forced into spectacular saves, but both handled the difficult conditions and late pressure with composure.

In midfield, Al Ula’s captain set the tempo with simple, effective passing, while Al-Faisaly Harmah’s holding midfielder broke up play effectively and protected the defence. For a youth-level fixture, the game showed encouraging signs of tactical awareness from both teams.

Standings and season impact

The 0-0 draw adds a point to both clubs’ tallies in the Saudi Arabia Youth League standings. For Al Ula FC Youths, the result extends a run of competitive defensive displays, while Al-Faisaly Harmah Youth will take encouragement from a disciplined away performance and a second consecutive clean sheet.

With the Saudi Arabia Youth League season continuing, both sides will view this as a platform to build on. Al Ula will focus on converting possession into goals, while Al-Faisaly Harmah will look to add more attacking threat without losing the defensive solidity that served them so well in this goalless draw.
