Prishtina U19 4-0 SC Gjilani U19: Ruthless Home Side Cruise to Derby Victory

Prishtina U19 produced a commanding 4-0 win over SC Gjilani U19 in the Kos U19 league on October 19, 2026, delivering a performance full of intensity, sharp pressing and clinical finishing at the Stadiumi i Qytetit in Pristina. The hosts were ahead inside the opening quarter of an hour and never allowed Gjilani to settle, adding three more goals after the break to complete a convincing derby-day victory.

The result gives Prishtina U19 three valuable points and a significant boost in goal difference, while SC Gjilani U19 are left to regroup after a difficult afternoon in which they struggled to contain their opponents’ movement and tempo.

Match overview

Prishtina set the tone from the first whistle, pressing high and forcing Gjilani into hurried clearances. The home side’s midfield trio controlled the rhythm of the game, repeatedly turning possession into quick attacks through the channels. Gjilani initially tried to sit compact and spring counterattacks, but the plan was undone early when Prishtina’s aggressive press created the opening goal.

By half-time, Prishtina held a deserved 2-0 lead. The second half followed a similar pattern: the hosts managed the game intelligently, slowed the tempo when needed and then struck with pace when Gjilani committed bodies forward. A third goal just before the hour mark effectively ended the contest, and a late fourth added the finishing touch to a thoroughly professional display.

Key moments

• 12′ — Prishtina 1-0: Erion Berisha pounced on a loose pass in the Gjilani half, drove towards the box and finished low into the far corner.
• 34′ — Prishtina 2-0: Dren Gashi doubled the lead with a powerful header from a corner, rising above his marker at the near post.
• 49′ — Gjilani’s best chance: A rare Gjilani break ended with a shot from the edge of the area, but Prishtina’s goalkeeper dealt with it comfortably.
• 58′ — Prishtina 3-0: Luan Krasniqi finished a sweeping counterattack, curling the ball beyond the goalkeeper after a neat exchange on the right.
• 81′ — Prishtina 4-0: Ardit Hoxha converted from the penalty spot after Berisha was brought down inside the area.

Tactical story

Prishtina lined up in a fluid 4-3-3 and used their wide forwards to pin Gjilani’s full-backs deep. The midfield pressed in coordinated bursts, forcing turnovers in dangerous areas and allowing the home side to sustain attacks without overcommitting. Their first goal was a direct product of that approach, while the second highlighted their set-piece threat.

Gjilani’s 4-2-3-1 shape was designed to absorb pressure and hit on the break, but the away side too often found themselves isolated in possession. When they did win the ball back, the transition was slow, allowing Prishtina to recover their defensive shape. The third goal, coming from a fast counter, underlined the difference in execution between the two teams on the day.

Standout performers

Erion Berisha was central to Prishtina’s best work, scoring the opener, winning the late penalty and constantly unsettling Gjilani’s back line with his movement. Dren Gashi controlled the midfield and delivered the corner that led to the second goal, while Luan Krasniqi added energy and end product from the right. At the back, Prishtina’s goalkeeper and centre-back pairing deserve credit for a composed clean sheet.

For Gjilani, the afternoon was one of few positives, though their goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat. The visitors will need to improve their ball retention and defensive organisation ahead of their next Kos U19 fixture.

Season impact

The 4-0 win strengthens Prishtina U19’s position in the upper reaches of the Kos U19 standings and gives the squad confidence ahead of a demanding run of fixtures. A clean sheet will be especially pleasing, as will the spread of goals across the front line and midfield.

For SC Gjilani U19, the priority is a response. The scoreline was emphatic, but the league season offers little time for reflection. Gjilani must tighten their shape, reduce turnovers in their own half and find a way to offer more support to their forward line in the coming matches.

Full-time: Prishtina U19 4-0 SC Gjilani U19.
