FC Ballkani U19 secured a 3-1 victory over KF Trepca 89 U19 in the Kos U19 league on Sunday, 18 October 2026, with Dren Berisha’s brace helping the hosts to a deserved win.

Ballkani U19 started strongly and never really allowed Trepca 89 U19 to settle. The hosts pressed high, moved the ball quickly and created chances through both central combinations and wide overloads. Trepca had their moments, especially on the counterattack, but Ballkani’s superiority in the final third proved decisive.

Match overview

FC Ballkani U19 set the tone inside the opening ten minutes, winning the ball back high and forcing Trepca into early clearances. Their midfield rotated well, with one player dropping deep to build play while the others pushed forward. Trepca 89 U19 tried to stay compact and hit on the break, and they did create a few nervous moments for the home defence.

The second half was more open. Trepca pushed higher in search of an equaliser after pulling a goal back, but that left space for Ballkani to exploit. The hosts managed the game well, slowing the tempo when needed and then striking quickly when opportunities appeared.

Key moments

• 9th minute: FC Ballkani U19 took an early lead when Dren Berisha found space at the near post and finished a low cross from the left.
• 31st minute: KF Trepca 89 U19 equalised through Ardit Krasniqi, who capitalised on a quick counterattack and slotted past the goalkeeper.
• 54th minute: Berisha restored Ballkani’s lead with a powerful strike from the edge of the box after a short corner routine.

Tactical story

Ballkani U19’s pressing was the foundation of their win. They consistently forced Trepca into hurried passes and won the ball back in areas where they could attack immediately. Their midfield trio covered ground effectively, supporting the press and then joining attacks when possession was secured.

Trepca 89 U19’s best period came after their equaliser, when they briefly disrupted Ballkani’s rhythm with a more direct approach. However, they could not sustain that pressure. Once Ballkani regained the lead, the hosts controlled the tempo and limited Trepca’s chances to counter.

Standout performers

Dren Berisha was the clear standout, scoring twice and leading the line with intelligent movement. Luan Gashi added a well-taken goal and linked play effectively between midfield and attack. Ballkani’s goalkeeper also deserved credit for a couple of important saves before the third goal settled the contest.

For KF Trepca 89 U19, Ardit Krasniqi was their brightest performer, taking his goal well and working hard to stretch the Ballkani defence. The midfielder’s energy gave Trepca a route back into the game, but the team could not build on it.

What it means

The win keeps FC Ballkani U19 in strong contention in the Kos U19 league and underlines their attacking quality. A two-goal margin against a competitive Trepca side is a useful confidence boost. KF Trepca 89 U19, meanwhile, will take lessons from their response after falling behind, but will be disappointed with the way they conceded the second and third goals. Both sides now look ahead to their next fixtures, with Ballkani aiming to maintain momentum and Trepca seeking a more consistent defensive display.
