FC Drita claimed a 2-1 away win over KF Llapi in the Kosovo Superliga on 17 October 2026, strengthening their title credentials with a composed performance in one of the league’s most competitive fixtures.

Drita’s ability to manage key moments proved decisive. Llapi had spells of pressure and found an equaliser after falling behind, but the visitors responded with the winning goal and then defended their advantage with maturity. The result adds another important chapter to the season’s title race and leaves Llapi with a frustrating home defeat.

Match overview

The game began at a high tempo, with both sides pressing aggressively and looking to force mistakes. Drita were the first to settle, controlling possession in midfield and using quick passes to progress the ball into the final third. Llapi responded with energy, but their early work was more about disruption than clear chance creation.

As the half wore on, Drita’s structure became more evident. They remained compact without the ball and looked dangerous in transition, with their wide players stretching the Llapi defence. Llapi, backed by their home support, continued to push forward, but they struggled to find the final pass in the opening period.

Key moments

• Drita took the lead after a well-worked move down the right, finishing calmly from inside the penalty area.
• Llapi responded strongly and equalised after the break, capitalising on a period of sustained pressure.
• Drita regained control quickly and scored the winner with a precise finish after winning the ball in midfield.
• Llapi pushed for a second equaliser late on, but Drita’s defence held firm under pressure.

The winning goal was a demonstration of Drita’s game management. Rather than retreating after Llapi’s equaliser, they raised their intensity and found a way to strike again. From that point on, their focus shifted to protecting the lead, and they did so by limiting space and dealing with crosses into the box.

Tactical story

Drita’s performance was built on control. Their midfield screened the defence well and made it difficult for Llapi to play through the centre. When they won possession, they moved the ball forward quickly, often using the flanks to create openings. That balance between solidity and speed in transition was the foundation of their victory.

Llapi’s best moments came when they increased the tempo and pushed more players into the attacking third. Their equaliser showed what they were capable of when moving the ball with purpose, but they struggled to sustain that level of pressure after conceding the second goal. Drita’s experience in managing the closing stages made the difference.

Standout performers

Drita’s midfield was excellent, combining energy with discipline and providing the platform for their attacking moves. Their goalscorers also showed composure in crucial moments. For Llapi, the attacker who scored the equaliser was their most threatening player, while their goalkeeper made several important saves to keep the deficit manageable.

Season impact

The 2-1 win is a significant result for FC Drita in the Kosovo Superliga, giving them momentum and reinforcing their ability to win difficult away matches. KF Llapi will be disappointed to lose at home, especially after fighting back into the game. The result tightens the competitive picture at the top and adds further intrigue to the next round of fixtures.
