KF Drenica Skenderaj 0-2 Malisheva saw the visitors claim an impressive away win in the Kosovo Superliga, with a goal in each half enough to secure all three points. Malisheva were organised, efficient and clinical when it mattered, while Drenica struggled to find a response in front of their home supporters on 25 October 2026.

The match was competitive in spells, but Malisheva’s ability to defend their box and attack with purpose proved decisive. Drenica had moments of pressure, especially after falling behind, but they could not break down a visiting side that grew in confidence as the game progressed.

Match overview

Malisheva started with a clear plan: stay compact, deny Drenica space in central areas and strike on the break. The visitors were disciplined without the ball and looked dangerous whenever they won it back in midfield. Drenica tried to play through the thirds, but their build-up was often interrupted by Malisheva’s pressing.

The opening goal arrived in the first half after a quick attacking move down the flank. The ball was delivered into the box and finished with composure, giving the visitors a lead that their organisation deserved. Drenica responded with a spell of pressure before the break, but the equaliser would not come.

Key moments

• Malisheva opener: A wide attack produced the first goal, with a low finish beating the Drenica goalkeeper.
• Drenica response: The hosts pushed forward after conceding but found the visiting defence difficult to break down.
• Second goal: Malisheva doubled their lead after the break, capitalising on space left by Drenica as they chased the game.
• Late resistance: Drenica continued to press, but Malisheva managed the closing stages comfortably.

The second goal was the decisive blow. Drenica had committed more players forward in search of an equaliser, and Malisheva punished them with a counter-attack that ended in a confident finish. After that, the visitors were content to protect their advantage, dropping deeper and forcing Drenica to play in front of their defensive block.

Tactical story

Malisheva’s tactical discipline was the foundation of their win. Their midfield stayed close to the back four, limiting the space Drenica could use between the lines. When they regained possession, they moved the ball forward quickly and looked to exploit the wide areas. That combination of solid defending and direct attacking made them difficult to handle.

Drenica’s best moments came when they switched play quickly and got their full-backs involved, but too often the final cross was intercepted or the shot was taken from a difficult angle. The home side also struggled to win second balls in midfield, which allowed Malisheva to sustain pressure and control the tempo after taking the lead.

Standout performers

The Malisheva goalkeeper was reliable when called upon, but the real strength of the performance came from the back line and midfield. The visitors’ defenders won their duels and cleared danger effectively, while the attacking players made the most of their chances. For Drenica, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, and the midfielders continued to work hard even as the game slipped away.

What the result means

Malisheva’s 2-0 away win is a significant result in the Kosovo Superliga, giving them three valuable points and a boost in the standings. For KF Drenica Skenderaj, the defeat highlights the need for more penetration in the final third and greater care when committing players forward. The home side will need to respond quickly, while Malisheva can take confidence from a professional away performance built on organisation and finishing.
