Gangwon Football Club produced a dominant display to beat Gimcheon Sangmu Football Club 2-0 at the Gangneung Stadium on July 18, 2026. The win strengthened Gangwon’s push for an AFC Champions League qualification spot while leaving Gimcheon mired in mid-table.
First Half Control
Gangwon started on the front foot, pressing high and forcing Gimcheon into mistakes. The breakthrough arrived in the 23rd minute when winger Lee Tae-seok dribbled past two defenders and crossed low for Yang Hyun-jun to tap in from close range. It was Yang’s 8th goal of the season, keeping him in contention for the league’s top scorer award.
