Phnom Penh Crown (W) delivered a statement victory in the KH WF League on Sunday evening, defeating Visakha FC (W) 3-0 at RSN Stadium. The hosts controlled the match from the opening whistle, scored at key moments in each half, and kept a clean sheet to strengthen their position near the top of the standings.

Match Overview

From the first minute, Phnom Penh Crown pressed high and forced Visakha FC into hurried clearances. The breakthrough arrived inside 12 minutes when Srey Mom latched onto a through ball, rounded the goalkeeper, and finished calmly into the empty net. Visakha FC tried to respond through quick transitions, but Crown’s midfield screen, led by captain Soeun Pisey, consistently cut off passing lanes.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Crown doubled their lead in the 54th minute when Chea Sreyleak curled a left-footed shot into the far corner after a short corner routine. Visakha FC pushed more players forward in search of a reply, but the hosts punished them on the counter in the 78th minute. Hout Kimheang ran onto a perfectly weighted pass and slotted the ball past the advancing goalkeeper to seal the 3-0 result.

Tactical Story

Phnom Penh Crown set up in a fluid 4-3-3 that became a 4-2-3-1 out of possession. Their full-backs pushed high to pin Visakha FC’s wide players deep, while the front three rotated constantly to create overloads in central areas. The result was a dominant first-half display in which Crown enjoyed the majority of possession and limited Visakha FC to speculative shots from distance.

Visakha FC’s best spell came early in the second half when they switched to a more direct approach, aiming long balls towards their centre-forward. But Crown’s centre-back pairing read the danger well, stepping up to catch the striker offside on multiple occasions. Once the third goal went in, the game was effectively over, and Crown managed the closing stages with maturity.

Standout Players

Srey Mom was a constant threat in behind and took her goal with the composure of a seasoned finisher. Chea Sreyleak dictated the tempo in midfield and added a spectacular goal, while Hout Kimheang changed the game after coming off the bench, capping her cameo with the third goal. At the back, goalkeeper Keo Chanda recorded a clean sheet and made two important saves to preserve Crown’s advantage.

For Visakha FC, the evening was a difficult one, but their captain and central midfielder worked tirelessly to try to spark a comeback. The team’s defensive shape held up for long stretches in the first half, but they struggled to create clear-cut chances against a well-organised Crown back line.

Table and Season Impact

The win moves Phnom Penh Crown (W) into a stronger position in the KH WF League standings, keeping pace with the early-season front-runners. Visakha FC (W) remain a dangerous side, but this result leaves them with work to do if they are to close the gap at the top. Crown’s goal difference also receives a healthy boost, which could prove valuable in a tight title race.

For Phnom Penh Crown, the performance was a clear message: they have the attacking quality and defensive discipline to challenge for the KH WF League title. The three points, the clean sheet, and the convincing scoreline make this one of their most complete showings of the season so far.

What’s Next

Phnom Penh Crown (W) will look to carry this momentum into their next KH WF League fixture, while Visakha FC (W) will aim to regroup and return to winning ways. With the season still unfolding, both teams will know that every point matters in the race for the championship.
