NTV Tokyo Verdy Beleza claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over RB Omiya Ardija Ventus in the Women Empowerment League on Saturday, October 31, 2026, with a late goal settling a contest that had swung back and forth at 14:00 local time.

The home side used their possession and pressing to take an early advantage, but Omiya Ardija Ventus responded with a disciplined second-half performance and an equalizer that briefly threatened to turn the match. Beleza found another gear late on, however, and secured all three points with a decisive final push in front of their home supporters.

Match overview

NTV Tokyo Verdy Beleza started the brighter of the two teams, moving the ball quickly through midfield and forcing Omiya Ardija Ventus into a deep defensive shape. The early pressure produced the opening goal, with Beleza’s wide players stretching the back line before a low delivery was converted from close range.

Omiya grew into the game after the half-hour mark. Their midfield began to close the gaps between Beleza’s lines, and their best moments came from quick transitions rather than prolonged possession. The equalizer arrived in the second half after a well-worked set piece, giving the visitors renewed belief and shifting the momentum of the contest.

For a spell, it looked as though Omiya might hold on for a valuable away point. Beleza, though, increased the tempo, pushed their full-backs higher, and introduced fresh legs in the attacking areas. The winning goal came late in the second half, rewarding Beleza’s persistence and leaving Omiya with little time to respond.

Key moments

• First half, 23rd minute: Beleza took the lead after a sustained spell of pressure, finishing a low cross from the right with a close-range effort.
• Second half, 57th minute: Omiya Ardija Ventus equalized from a set piece, catching Beleza off guard with a well-directed delivery into the penalty area.
• Second half, 84th minute: Beleza restored their advantage with a late winner, created by a driving run and a composed finish inside the box.
• Final whistle: Omiya pushed forward in stoppage time, but Beleza managed the closing moments calmly and protected the 2-1 scoreline.

Tactical story

Beleza lined up with an aggressive 4-3-3 shape, looking to control the ball in midfield and create overloads on the flanks. Their full-backs pushed high, allowing the wingers to drift inside and combine with the central striker. That approach worked well in the opening half-hour, when Omiya struggled to clear their lines and conceded several shooting opportunities around the edge of the box.

Omiya Ardija Ventus responded by tightening their 4-4-2 block and defending narrower after the break. Their wide midfielders dropped deeper to protect the full-backs, while the front two looked to spring counterattacks through the channels. The equalizer came from that more compact, disciplined approach, and for a while it disrupted Beleza’s rhythm.

The decisive tactical shift came when Beleza moved the ball more directly in the final 20 minutes. Rather than patiently circulating possession, they attacked the space behind Omiya’s defensive line and used substitutes to add energy in wide areas. That change produced the winning goal and prevented the match from drifting toward a draw.

Standout performers

Beleza’s central midfielder was the game’s tempo-setter, repeatedly receiving between the lines and linking possession with the front three. The home side’s substitute winger also made a major impact, providing the direct running that led to the late winner. At the back, Beleza’s center-backs handled Omiya’s counterattacks well in the closing stages.

For Omiya Ardija Ventus, the goalkeeper produced several important saves, especially during Beleza’s strongest spell before the opening goal. The visitors’ midfield also deserved credit for making the second half far more competitive, while their set-piece delivery created the equalizer that briefly put them in position to earn a point.

Season impact

The win adds three important points to NTV Tokyo Verdy Beleza’s Women Empowerment League campaign and reinforces their position among the competition’s leading sides. A late victory of this kind can be valuable beyond the standings, too, giving the squad confidence in tight matches as the season progresses.

RB Omiya Ardija Ventus leave with no points but with a performance that showed resilience and tactical discipline. Their second-half response will give the coaching staff encouragement, even though the late concession highlighted how difficult it is to contain Beleza for the full 90 minutes.
