Ehime FC Women, however, were excellent in transition. They absorbed pressure and then attacked quickly, using direct running and sharp passing to get behind the Yokohama defence. That approach earned them three goals and kept them in a match that often seemed to be slipping away.

Standout Players

Yokohama FC Seagulls Women’s attacking players combined well throughout, with their movement and link-up play creating repeated openings. The set-piece delivery was also a key weapon, producing one of their goals and several other dangerous moments.

Ehime FC Women’s forward line deserved credit for taking their chances under pressure. Their ability to respond after conceding was a major part of the story, and their midfield worked tirelessly to support both the defensive effort and the counterattack.

What the Result Means

Both teams take a point from a match that could have gone either way. In the Nadeshiko League 1 standings, the draw may feel more satisfying for Ehime FC Women after their repeated comebacks, while Yokohama FC Seagulls Women will be frustrated by their inability to hold onto the lead. The attacking display from both sides, however, made this one of the most watchable fixtures of the round.
