Maan and Al Hashemeya played out a 1-1 draw in the Jordan League Division 1 on 19 September 2026, a result that leaves both sides still searching for their first win of the young campaign. Faisal Al-Khatib gave Maan an early lead, but Omar Al-Hadid equalised for Al Hashemeya midway through the second half. Neither team could find a winner in a tense, evenly matched contest.

Match Overview

Maan started with purpose and took the lead in the 22nd minute when Al-Khatib turned sharply in the box and fired past the goalkeeper. Al Hashemeya responded well, controlling possession and creating several half-chances before the break. Their persistence paid off in the 68th minute when Al-Hadid latched onto a through ball and finished calmly. Both sides pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but resolute defending and some wayward finishing ensured the points were shared.

Key Moments

• 22’ – Al-Khatib opens the scoring with a composed finish.
• 41’ – Al Hashemeya strike the crossbar from a free-kick.
• 68’ – Al-Hadid equalises with a low shot into the corner.
• 85’ – Maan’s late header cleared off the line.

Tactical Story

Maan set up in a 4-3-3 and looked to attack down the flanks, but they struggled to maintain possession for long periods. Al Hashemeya used a 4-2-3-1 and gradually asserted control in midfield, with their No. 10 finding pockets of space between the lines. The equaliser came from exactly that kind of situation. Maan’s defence, which had been solid for much of the game, was finally breached by a well-timed run.

Standout Players

Faisal Al-Khatib was Maan’s most dangerous outlet, scoring a fine goal and holding the ball up well. Al Hashemeya’s Omar Al-Hadid was equally impressive, his equaliser a reward for a tireless performance. Both goalkeepers deserve credit, each making key saves in the second half to keep the score level.

Season Impact

The draw leaves both teams with plenty to work on. Maan will be disappointed not to have held onto their lead, while Al Hashemeya will see it as a point gained after a slow start. In a tightly contested division, every point matters, and both sides will be eager to turn draws into wins in their next outings.
