ASD Castellammare secured a 2-0 home win over ASD Parmonval in Italy Amateur Eccellenza Puglia on 24 October 2026, using a controlled performance to claim all three points.

Castellammare were the more composed side throughout, managing the tempo of the match and taking their chances when they arrived. Parmonval worked hard and had spells of possession, but they struggled to create clear openings against a well-organized home defence. The win strengthens Castellammare’s position and gives them valuable momentum in the league campaign.

Match overview

The hosts began with a measured approach, keeping the ball patiently and looking to draw Parmonval out of their defensive shape. Their midfielders rotated well, creating passing angles and allowing the full-backs to push forward. That control eventually paid off as Castellammare found the opening goal during a strong spell of pressure.

Parmonval responded with energy, pressing higher and trying to force mistakes. They won a few set pieces and delivered crosses into the box, but Castellammare’s centre-backs dealt with the danger effectively. The visitors’ best moments came from long-range efforts and second balls, but the final touch was missing.

Key moments

• Castellammare broke the deadlock after a patient build-up, finishing off a move that stretched the Parmonval defence.
• Parmonval pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but their crosses were well defended.
• The home goalkeeper made a solid save to preserve the lead before half-time.
• In the second half, Castellammare managed the game well and limited Parmonval’s space in midfield.
• The hosts sealed the win with a second goal, rewarding their control and composure in the final third.

Tactical story

Castellammare’s victory was built on balance. They were patient in possession but also willing to attack quickly when the opportunity arose. Their midfield shield protected the back four, making it difficult for Parmonval to find space between the lines. When the visitors did get into wide areas, Castellammare’s defenders were quick to close down and block crosses.

Parmonval’s approach was more direct, but they lacked the final pass needed to break down a compact defensive unit. As the game progressed, Castellammare’s control grew, and their second goal reflected their ability to manage the match rather than simply defend their lead.

Standout performers

Castellammare’s midfield was central to the win, controlling the rhythm and winning important second balls. The defence also deserved credit for a clean sheet, communicating well and dealing with Parmonval’s aerial threat. Up front, the hosts showed efficiency, converting their key chances without needing a high volume of shots.

Table impact

The 2-0 result gives ASD Castellammare a valuable home win in Italy Amateur Eccellenza Puglia and reinforces their credentials in the division. For ASD Parmonval, it is a frustrating afternoon, but there were enough battling moments to suggest they can compete. Both sides will now prepare for their next fixtures, with Castellammare looking to build on a disciplined and effective display.
