Como 1907 Women delivered one of the standout results of the Italian Women's Serie A matchday, powering past AC Milan Women 4-1 at home on September 27, 2026. The victory underlined Como's growing threat in the top flight, while Milan were left to reflect on a defensive display that unraveled after a promising opening spell.

Match Overview

From the first whistle, Como set the tempo with high pressing and quick transitions. The home side's midfield suffocated Milan's build-up, forcing errors and creating repeated chances. Although Milan briefly leveled, Como restored their lead before halftime and then pulled away in the second half with two more goals. The 4-1 scoreline flattered neither side; Como were clinical, while Milan struggled to contain the waves of attacks.

Key Moments

• Early breakthrough: Como's No. 10 opened the scoring with a low drive after a slick passing move.
• Milan reply: The Rossonere equalized against the run of play, a reminder of their quality on the break.
• Half-time lead: Como regained control before the break, finishing off a corner with a powerful header.
• Second-half surge: Two goals in the space of ten minutes after the restart put the result beyond doubt.
• Late chances: Milan pushed forward but found Como's goalkeeper in excellent form.

Tactical Story

Como lined up in a flexible 4-3-3 that became a 4-2-3-1 out of possession. Their full-backs pushed high, pinning Milan's wingers deep and allowing the midfield trio to dominate the center. Milan tried to play through the thirds but were repeatedly caught on the counter. The away side's back four sat too deep, inviting pressure. Como's persistent overlaps and quick one-twos in the final third proved decisive.

Standout Players

Como's attacking midfielder was the engine of the performance, involved in three of the four goals. The center-back pairing also deserves credit for snuffing out Milan's late surge. For Milan, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, and their captain tried to drive the team forward from midfield.

Table and Season Impact

With this win, Como 1907 Women climb into the upper half of the Serie A standings, strengthening their case for a top-five finish. AC Milan Women remain in contention for a European spot but will need to tighten their defense quickly. The head-to-head record now favors Como, who have beaten Milan in consecutive home meetings. The result sends a clear message: Como are no longer merely participants—they are contenders.
