ASD Atletico Ascoli came from behind to win 2-1 at Vigor Senigallia on 11 October 2026, producing a resilient second-half performance to take all three points from a tight Serie D encounter. The visitors' response after conceding was the defining feature of a competitive match.

Match Overview

With a 21:00 kick-off under the lights, Vigor Senigallia started brightly and took the lead, energising the home support. Atletico Ascoli, however, stayed calm and grew into the game, gradually wresting control of midfield and turning the contest around before the final whistle.

The closing stages were tense, with Senigallia pushing for an equaliser and Ascoli defending their advantage with determination and good game management.

Key Moments

• Senigallia strike first: The hosts opened the scoring during their strongest spell, converting sustained pressure into a goal.
• Equaliser: Atletico Ascoli responded before the break, finding a way through a crowded penalty area to level the score.
• Winner: Ascoli completed the turnaround in the second half, finishing off a well-constructed attacking move.
• Late pressure: Vigor Senigallia threw bodies forward, but Ascoli's defence and goalkeeper held firm.

Tactical Story

Vigor Senigallia's early plan was built on pressing high and winning the ball in advanced areas, and it worked well for the first half hour. As the match progressed, though, their intensity dropped and Ascoli's midfield began to find pockets of space, particularly in the channels between full-backs and centre-backs.

Atletico Ascoli's second-half adjustments were decisive. By pushing an extra player into the attacking line and switching the point of attack more frequently, they stretched Senigallia's defensive shape and created the opening for the winning goal.

Standout Performers

Ascoli's midfielders dictated the rhythm after the break, and the goalscorers showed composure in front of goal at critical moments. The goalkeeper made a key save late on to preserve the lead.

Vigor Senigallia's forward line caused problems with their movement in the first half and their captain led by example as the hosts chased the game. Their efforts deserved more than a defeat in front of their own supporters.

Season Impact

Winning away after conceding first is one of the clearest indicators of a team's character, and Atletico Ascoli will take significant confidence from this result. The three points keep them moving in the right direction in the Serie D standings.

For Vigor Senigallia, the loss is frustrating but not damaging in the wider picture. Improving their ability to protect a lead — and to sustain intensity across 90 minutes — will be the priority in training.
