S.S. Teramo Calcio won a five-goal thriller against ASD Giulianova, taking a 3-2 victory in a Serie D derby-style clash that delivered everything a neutral could want: goals, momentum swings, and a tense finish. The 21:00 kick-off produced an open, end-to-end contest between two sides who clearly knew each other well.

Match Overview

Teramo's attacking ambition was rewarded early, and the hosts looked the more purposeful side for much of the first hour. Giulianova, however, refused to fold, twice dragging themselves back into the contest and forcing Teramo to dig deep for the winner. Five goals in a single Serie D fixture is a rarity, and the crowd was treated to a genuinely dramatic evening.

Key Moments

• Opening exchanges: Teramo struck first, setting the tone with aggressive pressing and quick transitions.
• Giulianova response: The visitors hit back to keep the game alive, exposing gaps in the Teramo midfield.
• The decisive goal: Teramo restored their lead for the final time with a well-worked move that proved enough.
• Final minutes: Giulianova threw bodies forward, but Teramo's rearguard survived the siege.

Tactical Story

Teramo's game plan revolved around vertical passing and runners from midfield, an approach that repeatedly pulled Giulianova's defensive line out of shape. Giulianova's best spells came when they won the ball high and attacked quickly, but their vulnerability to counter-attacks cost them dearly. In a game of fine margins, Teramo's ability to score at decisive moments was the difference.

Standout Performers

Teramo's forward line shared the attacking burden, with the match-winner capping an energetic display. Giulianova's attacking players impressed with their persistence, twice beating a keeper who otherwise had a strong night, and their supporters will take encouragement from the resolve shown in defeat.

Table and Season Impact

The three points are significant for Teramo, strengthening their position in the Serie D standings and adding credibility to their promotion ambitions. Giulianova leave with nothing but plenty of positives — a two-goal away performance in a difficult venue suggests they will be competitive across the campaign.
