Lentigione produced a composed away performance to beat Solbiatese Arno 2-1 in their Italian Serie D encounter on 17 October 2026. After falling behind early, the visitors responded with a measured comeback, equalising before half-time and finding the decisive goal in the second period to take all three points.

The result gives Lentigione a valuable road victory and strengthens their position in the upper portion of the Serie D standings. For Solbiatese Arno, it was a frustrating night: the home side started with energy and took the lead, but they could not hold off a Lentigione team that grew stronger as the match developed.

Match overview

Solbiatese Arno began the contest with purpose, pressing high and looking to force mistakes in Lentigione’s build-up. Their bright opening was rewarded in the 12th minute when a quick move down the right ended with a low cross into the box, and the home forward converted from close range to make it 1-0.

Lentigione responded calmly rather than rushing their play. The visitors began to dominate possession in midfield, shifting the ball from side to side and waiting for gaps to appear. Their patience paid off in the 38th minute when a well-worked passing sequence opened space on the edge of the area, and a curling finish brought the score level at 1-1 before the break.

Key moments

• 12th minute – Solbiatese Arno 1-0: A fast break and low cross created the opening goal for the home side.
• 38th minute – Solbiatese Arno 1-1 Lentigione: Lentigione’s midfield control finally told as a neat passing move ended with a composed equaliser.
• 67th minute – Solbiatese Arno 1-2 Lentigione: The visitors turned the game around when a second-phase attack ended with a close-range finish after Solbiatese failed to clear properly.
• 84th minute: Solbiatese pushed men forward in search of an equaliser, but Lentigione’s defence held firm and limited the home side to speculative efforts.

Tactical story

Lentigione’s comeback was built on midfield control and better use of wide areas. After a shaky opening spell, the visitors adjusted their pressing line and stopped Solbiatese from playing through the centre. That allowed Lentigione to win the ball higher up the pitch and sustain attacks for longer periods.

Solbiatese, by contrast, became increasingly reliant on counter-attacks. The home side had moments of danger after the restart, but their final ball lacked precision and Lentigione’s centre-backs dealt well with crosses into the box. The away team’s game management in the final 15 minutes was especially impressive, as they slowed the tempo and protected their lead.

Standout performers and season impact

Lentigione’s central midfielder was the driving force behind the comeback, repeatedly linking defence and attack and setting the tempo after the equaliser. The winning goal came from the visitors’ willingness to push numbers into the box, a reward for their improved control of the match.

The three points matter in the Serie D table, where away wins are often decisive in the race for playoff places. Lentigione will take confidence from the result, while Solbiatese Arno will need to turn promising spells into full 90-minute performances. The home side showed enough going forward to suggest they can respond, but this was a night when Lentigione’s composure made the difference.
